(wiltshire, South west, England) mainly a MLP con but furs can join in as well :3 where will it be held? i would love it if there was a con in swindon most of the are in the states and whatever but one in my home town would be sweet
Hmm, with BUCK probably taking most people's attention and money, I think it might be more beneficial for you guys if you had a meet-up instead. Meet-ups are still fairly big, they're just not on as massive a scale as a convention. Usually you can organise it so that anyone who's going meets up together in the town/city centre, then you just decide to do some things like go to McDonalds, or the cinema, or bowling or something. Activity and days out rather than a full-on convention you know? Just a thought.

you live in swindon to? AWESOME!!! true true, it was just an idea at the end of the day. but i was thinking of a smaller scale convention where the price wasnt so high so you wouldn't need to save up for a whole year. I have added you on skype i believe and did send you a message.

i went inside there last sunday and i have got ot say it could easily fit over 100 people in there so space wouldn't be a problem
Indeed, space is not the issue. It's finding the backing to cover the cost AND to keep it low cost to enter. Infact it would be nothing since its a free place to enter. Then the issue is giving out traveling ideas + parking + provide transport. But thats at a later date. I just really want this to happen to show that it doesnt need to cost in excess of over 1000 pounds to travel to another country to go to a con or cost so much for a ticket. Sure it's not gunna be as big as BUCK or BroNYcon but its free and venders can showcase there products and only pay the company not the ccommitee. Another Idea I had was to have a nightrave or turn it into a place were brony musicians can showcase there music. But I would think it would need to be paid for so the equipment can be paid for and what not. But if you, or anypony else, has an idea. Say it! More the merrier!
i think the parking would be fine and i think they have cones or something like that to help with parking or maybey one of those people who help with parking i think its called valet parking?.As for travaling ideas do you mean to there or finding the location as for travel maybey one of the brony buses travel to wiltshire i think so people could take them to blunsdon.As for the raves now that would be cool just imagnie hundreds of bronies raving in there it would be awsome, what you could do is for example is somepony get some decks park up somewhere and do it in a field it would be like the summer of love all over again
Parking wise yes it should be fine. With cones and with valet parking they help too :3 Yes I mean to 'blunsdon market' as well as to Swindon. Brony Buses would be great to have as a travel connection. With the raves it would, but for how long though? That is the major factor. On a field sounds like a fantastic idea but its finding a place where it wont disturb a lot of people. That's also another factor to consider.
swindons pretty big im sure there would be somewhere private or selcuded most raves last till 9 till 1 or whenever really people usally do them night till day.I thought of what it could called be called "luna sunrise" luna=night sunrise= celisetia i just thought it sounded cool to me
I know a good place near the Swindon area which we can hire, which'd give us oodles of room for a large meet, and people with experience setting up events like this- We could easily pull this off, but Money may be an issue. We could definitely bring this to life though.
Okay, I've been around Wootton Bassett and the best deal here is this- We hire a large room (Phoenix Club) for £100 (+£100 deposit) and we gain access to a pretty nice hall, a stage, a bar and some private toilets. Might be difficult for some people to get to. The best place in Swindon (The White Hart) has a Skittles alley (XDDDD), our own private entrance, and a pretty big room. It also has a car park for parking cars in, and is right next to a bus stop. People need only catch the Stagecoach Route 66 Gold. Very easy to get too, indeed. On the other side of the road is a big Toys R us, which should provide us entertainment. xD I believe the room also has a private bar. This place is likely the best option for us. I'm not sure about the price. Both will be very affordable and very useful. It wouldn't be a convention as of such, but rather just a large meetup. Also, I've found a site full of Pony Party balloons, cutlery, all that sort of stuff, so we can pony up the place. I might be able to get some cutouts too, which we could dot around the place. We'll be reviewing the choices of function rooms. This can and will be brought to life.

why would they need a cv and a referance for sound and greeters? and security, i dont think anybody would come over to us a star a fight or anything and could you tell me what do you mean by "reviewing the area it could be best set at" just to help me understand a bit more.
