It's been one month since Discord broke free from stone and took over again. He banished Celestia and Luna to the sun and moon respectivley. He corrupted the Elements of Harmony. He turned over half the population of Equestria, pony, or not, into a soldier for his chaos army. A few ponies managed to retreat into the Everfree forest. Robin Hoof had lost most of his steel and leather, only his hood remained. He was not the only one who lost stuff though. Orange Bolt, previously a Wonderbolt, had lost his team, as well as his home. He was one of the last to have managed to get to the saftey of the Everfree. Silver Shield was one of the first to have managed to get away. He didn't really lose much, but was still nonetheless annoyed at the sudden take-over by Discord. Cloud Rider however, seemed to not care too much. Only thing which seemed to annoy him about it was that he was now stuck in the Everfree. They were all at a small camp, with about 20 other ponies, a few griffins and a few small dragons. The dragons and Griffins seemed to be searching for something. The ponies were clearly mostly just there for saftey. What happens now? That, is up to ROBIN HOOF, ORANGE BOLT, SILVER SHIELD and CLOUD RIDER's choises... (OOC: Just interact with eachother, the NPC's and stuff for now.)
Rider is sitting by himself at the edge of the camp. He is really keeping to himself trying to seem like he doesn't mind that all this is going on but deep down he is scared. I misses his family and friends and wishes he actually had a bed to sleep in as apose to sleeping on the cold, damp grass that the Everfree has to offer. "Hey what are you up to?" Rider did not recognize this voice. He turned to see who it was and he say a mare with a beautiful scarlet coat, magenta eyes and a luscious white mane with the smallest tint of blue. "Oh, just sitting around, I guess," said Rider "Well, why don't you come and hang out with the rest of us over here?" "I don't know, I've been through a lot and I kinda just want to rest" "Are you sure?" Rider nodded. "Alright then. Well can I at least get your name?" "My name is Cloud Rider." "Scarlet Blossom, but you can just call me Scarlet." "Well it has been a pleasure to meet you Scarlet but I would like to be left alone now." "Alright then. Hope to talk to you later!" She shouted as she walked back to the others. Rider felt a little bit better now that he had met someone new. He felt like this might not suck as much as he thought it would.
Being as Trottingham was one of the first to go to chaos, he lost his men, his armour but at least he had his grandfathers bow plus it looked like no one was from Trottingham so he thought they didn't know about his outlaw/hero status depending on if you were rich or poor. He approached one of the griffon knights who was guarding the camp residents. "hey, you know if you need any help I'm pretty skilled at archery and protecting the less fortunate was technically my job". Robin produced to pieces of paper one thank you letter from a church which faced financial difficulties and another a wanted poster worth 50,000 bits.
Orangebolt sat in his tent, looking through the pictures of his family, friends, teammates, most of which were lost to Discord. He was much quieter than normal, mourning over the loss of his comrades. He decided to walk out and see if anypony had prepared a meal. If not, he would go fishing. Not that there would be anything they could necessarily eat from the rivers in the Everfree, it just helped him get his mind off things. "Anypony have something to eat?" He said, rolling over a log to sit on.
After Rider sat by himself for a little while longer he decided to walk around the camp a little bit. As he was walking he overheard somepony asking for something to eat. He decided he would make himself useful and help this fellow out. He then trotted of into the forest in search of some berries. It took a little while but eventually he found some raspberries and started picking. Once he was content with the amount he had he made his way back to the camp. Once there he announced, "Hey would anypony like some raspberries?"
Silver was angry. He was angry at Discord for taking over. He was angry at himself for not being able to stop it. He was angry about all the ponies that had been corrupted, captured, enslaved, or killed. So he was sitting in his living area, sulking. He didn't really feel like talking to anypony, because they would just tell him something like "It will all be alright", ant it wouldn't. Nothing would be the same again. Even if Discord were defeated this minute...everything would be different. He wandered out of his tent eventually, his stormy mood following close behind. He took a significant moment o glower at everyone in the camp, whether they noticed him or not, and then wandered off, not really knowing where he was going.
Orange popped one of the berries into his mouth. "Thanks. That's the most decent thing I've ate in a while. My name's Orangebolt. Yours?" He asked, extending a hoof.
Rider reaches out and shakes hooves with Orangebolt, "My name is Cloud Rider. So where are you from?" asks Rider as he starts to eat some berries as well.
Robin Hoof sat down next to Orange, he had had a baguette sliced through the centre which was given to him by the griffin he was talking to. "hey you can take a bit of mine too and can I have some berries". He grabbed a knife and cut the baguette in thirds offering them to the two ponies next to him.
"My place of residence was Cloudsdale, I was in the middle of a Derby when Discord attacked. I just barely made it out alive." Orangebolt said hesitantly, not wanting to remember the incident. He looked over to Robin, taking part of the baguette, and handing him some of the berries. "Thanks." He said, about to take a bite out of the baguette.
Robin crushed the berries in between his hooves making a paste which he put between the pieces of his baguette. "Names Robin Hoof. Before Discord I lived in Trottingham more specifically Sherwood forest. The rich would say me and my men were outlaws to the poor I was a hero". He took a bite of his baguette with the berry paste and produced the wanted poster and thank you letter from the church that he showed the griffin gaurd.
"Well my name is Cloud Rider. I come from Ponyville. I was taking a nap when somepony woke me up and told me Discord was taking over Equestria! So I just fallowed everypony else into the Everfree forest because I heard that there was some sort of camp out here."
Orangebolt got up. "Well, I'm going off into the woods. If I'm not back by midnight, you can start worrying." Orangebolt said, trotting away from the camp.
Orangebolt knew exactly where to go. He was heading for the ancient, run-down Pavilion where Twilight Sparkle and her friends once fought Nightmare Moon. There had to be something there that could help the few survivors in the long run. When he arrived, he looked through the remaining books there. Most were either undecipherable or completely ruined. "No books on Discord? No weaknesses or anything?" Orange asked, dissapointed.
"yep I guess want to hear a little one of my adventures". He cleared his throat before telling rider and the mass of ponies who gathered to here his story. Robin spoke in third person. The Tale of the Silver Arrow * The Sheriff was desperate to capture Robin Hoof. He had been tricked, beaten and made to look a fool by the outlaw and had had enough. Prince John, the Kings nasty brother, was visiting Trottingham castle and was unhappy with the news that he had heard about Robin Hoof. “We must stop him” snarled the Prince “But how ?” moaned the sheriff, “I have tried everything” “I will take a hundred men into the forest. We will travel to the Major Oak and catch the outlaw there” added the Prince “It would not work” said the Sheriff, “They can hide everywhere and would ambush you before you knew what was happening.” “Then we need to trick him into coming to Trottingham then”, schemed the Prince, “What would bring him here ?” * Meanwhile, deep in Sherwood Forest the outlaws were feasting around the Major Oak. They were laughing and joking about the trick that they had played on the sheriff. Robin joked that he had sat at the Sheriffs table eating the Sheriffs food without being recognised. Mutch the Millers Son arrived at the tree. “Robin, there is news of a great contest in Trottingham. There is a prize of a silver arrow for the best archer” he said “Then I shall enter” called out Robin, “And I shall win for all Saxons everywhere” Little John was not so happy. “Robin, I think it is a trap. Prince John is nearby and this would be a good time for the Sheriff to catch you. Don’t go” “I must. I have to win the prize for the sake of all Saxons”. Robin set off for Trottingham, disguised as a lowly peasant. He arrived in Trottingham in time for the competition. As he stood waiting to take part he noticed Sir Guy of Gisborne wandering around the contestants. ‘He’s trying to find me’ thought Robin. The contest began. Robin easily won through to the finals and waited. The final began. Robin was to fire his arrows after a Norman Knight had fired his. Watching in the crowd were the Saxon people of Nottingham, and a group of disguised outlaws. Robin began to take his shots. His first arrow was fired and hit the bullseye. “Master John, master John” called a voice to little John, “Gisborne has set a trap. You have to leave before he finds you” Little John looked around for the others, but could not see them. He had to find another way to stop Gisborne. He turned to the villager next to him. “Tell everybody that the peasant with the bow is a Saxon. He is the best archer in the land” The villager wandered through the crowd telling everyone. Soon the crowd were shouting and cheering. The knights and Gisborne became worried about the noise – something was wrong. Robin fired his second shot. It missed the bullseye. The crowd went quiet. With his final arrow Robin hit the bullseye again. The crowd cheered. “The Saxon has won” they shouted, “The Saxon has won” Prince John stood and prepared to present the winner with the silver arrow. Robin approached the Royal Box and stood before the Prince. Prince John handed the silver arrow to Robin, and whispered “I have you at last”. Robin stepped back, as Prince John signaled to his Knights. Little John decided now was the time. He shouted out “Carry the winner, Carry the winner”. Everybody who had been watching the contest ran forwards towards the Royal Box. Before the Knights vould reach him, Robin was lifted up in a crowd of people. Carefully he was lowered into the crowd, and while everyone celebrated Robin and the outlaws escaped from the city.
Orangebolt looked all over the pavilion. Nothing. He headed back to the Campsite. "That search was a complete failure then." He said, sitting back down on a log.
