Crimson watched over his small empire from the tower that had....well...towered over Los Pegasis. He had helped rebuild nearly 50% of the city with the help from other casino family's that had lived in the area. Even through the city had survived the megaspell detonations, the collapse of civlisation caused the city to become infected with raiders until Crimson and his Securitrons had wiped them out. Electricity has been restored in the city from an pre war dam and a solar tower that gave los pegasis it's power. He believed that the city was a jewel in the wasteland, but sooner or later he would have to fight or die for it. This thought seemed to bring down Crimsons mood abit. Crimson had survived many extrodinary events, including a near invasion to Red Eye's forces. But that was over 15 years ago. He had been looking for some-sort of platnum chip that will unlock his army's secret weapon and defence systems, which will boost combat by over 200%. Crimson was going to recieve this soon, but exactly when is unknown. All he could do now is wait.
After Julion had found out about Marion's contract, a soldier under his command and told him of something that needed his urgent attention. He managed to seperate himself from the party, following the soldier out to a remote camp outside Junction Town, he knew what this was about. "So the Vertibuck has been finished?" he asked the soldier. "Correct sir, we have finished a hundred of them already, with a hundred more on the way. And sir, what about Operation West?" Julion sighed, "I guess since my last mission here is complete, it shall be carried out. Tell Bloody 2 she's in charge of West Division now. Tell her I appoint her Caesar of the West and all operations there. I shall inspect the Vertibucks." the soldier nodded and upon arrival at the camp, went to find Bloody 2.
(EDIT: YOU NINJA! So, are you still with me or what happened?) "The job is at my terminal back at New Appleloosa." Marion said to Julion. "Obviously, that's way too far away, so I'll just go use someone else's." Marion turned and threw a stare at Alyx, who just sighed. "Yes sir, honorable dictator." She said plainly. "Follow me for terminal-smacking goodness!" She turned and (walking this time) began walking towards her home. Marion just shrugged and followed suit. Ten minutes of walking later ("It would have taken two if we flew!" Alyx kept complaining), we arrived at an old shack with a few broken windows. Alyx gingerly pushed the door open and walked inside. "Terminal's in the far corner." She said as she headed towards the bathroom. "Password is 'Kingdom Keepers'" Marion wandered up to it and opened Alyx's recent messages. None of them had to do with his assignment. He mentally slapped himself for being so stupid. Placing his claw back at his earpiece, he began speaking. ... ... ... Hello? "Hey, this is Marion, I need you to resend my contract to Alyx's terminal in Shattered Hoof. Can you do that?" Sure, no problem! ... ... All done! Once again, have fun with it! Marion pulled his finger off his earpiece and looked towards the terminal, now beeping with a new message. He opened it and read aloud: CONTRACT: MARION FERTH GRIMFEATHERS IF THIS IS NOT INTENDED FOR YOU, PLEASE STOP READING AND DELETE NOW There's a hellhound problem in Vanhoover. I always knew the bastards would be troublesome! They got in an argument with the residents of that town over some territory dispute, and the damned things took off the head of the town's mayor. Fool couldn't seem to keep his mouth shut. Luckily, some Applejack's Rangers were in Vanhoover when this happened, and they dealt with the threat accordingly. Now the hellhounds have Vanhoover cut off from any possible trade supplies (ground and air alike) and both sides are stuck in a stalemate. They're lucky to even have gotten a distress call out of there! You (and a few other Talons) have been selected to head over there and deal with the problem. Be it diplomacy, force, or just plain cheating, how you do it is not my concern. Go kick some hellhound tail, okay? Marion didn't know whether to spit in disgust or hug the terminal. This was finally the fight he had been looking for, but he trusted those hellhounds! It would be a while before he would be able to get anywhere close to one of their species again. Turning to Julion, he said "I have enough supplies for myself. If you have your own, we could head out right now!"
Crimson just sat there in his chair. He had heard all about what was going on in New Equestria, the development of technology and the reappearence of Vertibirds had caught his attention. Crimson still processed the best technology in all of New Equestria, but the rest of the nation wasnt very far behind with weapons. His city of Los Pegasis has crowned him as 'The King of Diamonds'. Los Pegasis was a city were dreams were made and destoryed in a blink of an eye. Within the next 50 years, Crimson and his city could build a space-shuttle capible of moving between planets. But that is a long term project, he had to focus on the short term for now. Crimson's assistant had just walked into the room where he controlled the city. She was young and wanted Crimson to know what the ponys wanted and need. 'Sir, we have just heard news that over 100 vertibucks are finished.' She began. 'What would happen if they attacked the city.' Crimson spoke in a deep and slghtly youthful tone, he was begining to become old. ' The day i set my flag down will be the day that would change this world. I want these vertibucks inspected and reported back to me.' Crimson said to his assistant. 'The Last thing i need is an invasion, we want a peaceful relationship and not a warzone.' His Assistant understood her master and left to report this to his army. Crimson put on his signature Elite Riot Armor and left the city to his second in command. He was off to Manehatten, guarded by 2 Upgraded Securitron bodyguards.
(At the meeting) "Trust me Marion, my soldiers are very well equipped, and we're on the verge of something great, non winged flight." after saying that, Julion had been contacted over his Pipbuck about the situation, "That must be it." Julion walked though the lines of Vertibucks, each one capable of carrying a squad of ten soldiers into the thick of battle, "With this, our new power armor, and the our self sustaining energy rifles, we will be one hell of a force on the battlefield." A devolpment next to him said that was showing him the Vertibucks. "Good, I want 50 of them used for Operation West, half of everything will go to the West Division." Julion said. "Of course sir, we'll mark the ones to send with the West once they leave." the devolpor said. "And I'm going to need five of them for a little excursion to Vanhoofer." "Of course." Julion nodded and seperated himself from the group and contacted his two best squads, Alpha Strike Force and Alpha Stormtroopers. He thought about Operation West, the securing of a Commando stronghold somewhere in the lands over there, but of course they were a mercenary group at heart, so unless they were payed to attack a city such as Los Pegasus, they weren't to be frank.
(I still have no idea what's going on, so I'm just gonna wing it with this one) "Hey, Alyx," Marion said as Alyx wandered out of her restroom. "Mmf?" she said before spitting out some water into a drain. "What?" she said when her mouth was empty. "This new contract is near Vanhoover. Didn't you have a friend there? It seems they're in trouble." Alyx's face went dark, and Marion realized he may have just tread upon unstable ground. "Ah, well I once had a friend there," she said slowly. "...but he died ten years ago. No, I have no friends there." Ah, that would explain it. "Sorry about your loss. I'm going off to Vanhoover to rendezvous with some other Talons. I suppose I'll see you later." She nodded and turned back to obtain her radio. Having everything he needed, he leaped out the window ("Why can't you just use the door!?" Alyx shouted at him) to head off to Vanhoover. 'It's time to see what those hellhounds are made of after all these years.' Marion thought.
"This is Vertibuck Alpha, come in fliers." the pilot said over the intercom. The Vertibucks had taken off the moment the squads had arrived. Julion brought his Pipbuck up to his face and punched in his hack code into the Talon network, "Marion, this the Soldier, I have reinforcements, I will meet you outside Vanhoover in hours time."
Marion tore his claw away from his earpiece as a beam of light flew past, inches away from his arm. "What in the-" Marion said, staring down. His keen sight came up with a hellhound sniper taking aim to get another shot on him. He was much too far away for Marion's shotgun or pistols to hit, so he flipped in an aileron roll to deny the hellhound a clear shot. Two more shots rang out, but Marion was still flying, so he assumed they must have missed. When Marion steadied himself once more, he looked down upon the hellhound. It had been replaced with a pool of red and a few body parts. A voice rang out in Marion's earpiece. Marion? Is that you? ARE YOU INSANE!? You can't just fly into Vanhoover like that, they have the place surrounded with guns! Get on the ground RIGHT NOW; I'll have my escort meet you down there and smuggle you into the town. Marion chuckled slightly. "Oh, please, you know I would never get hit." Right, and I can fly to the moon. Get down here already, will ya? Marion glided down and landed two or so miles away from a light in the distance, which he assumed must have been Vanhoover. After a few minutes, a pegasus tailed by a griffin guard appeared in an adjacent tree. "You're the second of the Talons to arrive." The pegasus said. "I'll get you in and out, but that's it. Don't make me fight your battles for you." With that remark, he turned tail and jumped/flew into the next tree, gesturing for Marion to follow. He jumped in the same pattern as the pegasus to ensure he didn't accidentally trigger any mines the hellhounds may have set in the trees.
The Vertibucks reached Vanhoover's surrounding lands, the sound of hellhound charges plinging uselessly against the armor, they were obviously not expecting anything heavy to hit them. Julion went to the gunner's seat and spoke through his intercom to his units, "Give em hell boys, punch a hole clean throw. If one of them blasted hellhound even shows a head, kill it." the sound of acknowledgement came back through the mic and Julion smiled as he aimed the Vertibuck's weapons down to the ground, " Kill them." he said, and massive blasts of energy shot forth from the Vertibucks, exploding violently where ever they landed. "Marion, I know you're within range, if your not in Vanhoover yet, try not to get killed."
Marion placed a talon at his earpiece and replied with "Actually, I am in Vanhoover. You're scaring the hell out of the citizens with the explosions, but I suppose it's inevitable. I'll see if I can protect them in the town, you focus on taking down the hellhounds." A form landed next to Marion and he immediately reacted, throwing himself to the side. "Whoa, whoa, hold on!" it said. Marion looked at it and saw that it was a griffin in Talon armor. "I'm on your side, I'm not going to attack you." he said plainly. "The hellhounds have us pinned on all sides, but it appears that Vertibucks are helping. We can use this to finally be rid of them. I have the inside of the town protected fine, you go help the Vertibucks. I suggest taking down this thing." He held out a pad that showed a picture of a beaten up terminal guarded by hellhounds. Another hellhound was at the terminal smacking away at the keyboard. From everything he saw, Marion guessed that the password was "Get Out Now." A simple password, but the hellhound seemed extremely inexperienced with it. "Go in there and handle that, they're the only hellhounds within the city. The Vertibucks can't bomb the city itself, so it's up to the soldiers to pull off the task." He smirked. "Or, in this case, you."
The Vertibucks had managed to drive the hellhounds to the surface, where they were easy prey to the various weapons trained upon them. It took several hours, but the last of the hellhounds were driven out, either killed or fled. After the operation, the outside of Vanhoover was left a cratered, destroyed place, but it was many times safer to pass through it now. The Vertibucks landed and the fifty Commandos, in full power armor, emblem emblazoned clearly on their shoulders, stepped from the machines, "I'm glad we got to try those things out." said a soldier over com unit in their helmets. "Yes, and maybe now ponies will truly appreciate our strength now." Julion replied. The Vertibucks took off to head back to base for recharging and rearming, leaving the group of Commandos to explore the city.
Marion cautiously entered the beaten building through a window on the second floor. The floor was steady enough not to break, and it was also padded, so he didn't have to fly to avoid creating noise. This negatively affected his mission in that he had no idea where the hellhounds would be. Even if it did have the ability to detect targets, Marion wouldn't be caught dead in a pipbuck. He flipped open a mirror from the side of his shotgun (that he modded himself) and used it to peer around a corner. Nothing. Flashing it the other way, he found nothing in both directions. 'Odd, they must know that there are pegasi and griffins in the town.' Marion thought. 'What are they hiding.' He walked around the corner and checked another, revealing even more nothing. Unnerved, Marion began hovering above the floor. He no longer trusted the padding it provided. As he reached the bottom of stairs, Marion's talon hung down to his belt, where he felt a small, rock-sized piece of metal. His signal jammer. If things got ugly, he would just flip the switch and run in blasting. A few strokes of his wings brought him to another corner. He flashed his mirror around the corner again to reveal the empty twrminal and nothing else. 'Dammit!' He suddenly thought and he shoved his back to the wall and loaded his shotgun. They knew. How could he be so careless!? Marion flipped the switch to his signal jammer and his earpiece was filled with static. A muffled 'THUMP' was heard behind Marion, causing him to turn and give a hellhound a face full of shotgun pellets. The hellhound went down without a noise, but the shot ran throughout the entire building. Marion charged into the terminal room and rolled to the corner, bracing himself for any more attacks. A minute of waiting went by. Two minutes. On the third minute, Marion made up his mind and jumped to the terminal. It was already unlocked. They had gotten through! Crap! Defeated, Marion flew over the corpse of the hellhound and came out the window he had entered through.
Julion had heard about the one place in Vanhoover where hellhounds had gotten in at and was scouting out the outside when he saw a particular Talon fly out the window, "Hey Marion, find anything in there?" he asked over his intercom, that he had by now intergrated partially into Marion's Talon channel. (You can post a responce to this, but after that, let's wait for Crimson to come back so he doesn't get the combo page surprise.)
(Sorry guys, this will be my last post for quite a while.) Crimson walked into Manehatten like it was his own. The securitrons that protected him drew a large amount of attention to the king on Los Pegasis. Crimson had survived alot of events during his life. One of these events was that he was kidnapped by scientists before the war and was implanted with advanced technologys inside his brain that had extended his life and intelegence dramaticly. He escaped and built his own robots, which would later become his own securitrons. He was doing research of New Equestria, he has not left his tower in over 10 years. His centurys of combat experence playing a small part to liberate Equestria from the Enclave. Society was begining to come back and this ment that his city was about to become alot more busy with gamber's and civilians. What he needed was a platnum chip, and he could expand his empire to tremendious size. He just needed to wait for the courier that was delivering it.
Bloody 2, now Caesar, was in a Vertibuck, one of the massive flight on route to the westren areas. Before she and the West Division departed, almost a thousand Vertibucks had been finished, allowing for her fleet of Vertibucks to shoot up from a tiny 50 strong force to one that numbered close to 600 Vertibucks, which carried almost 6000 Commandos, plus an additional 4000 on the ground in various means of transportation. "Where is our base going to be at Caesar?" asked the pilot of the Vertibuck, "Set a course to Flagstallion, we shall make it our home. But then, we will need to negitate with Los Pegasus." Caesar replied.
Crimson returned to Los Pegasis. The City looked more like a gigantic fortress then a wonderful metropolis, this kept the gamblers and the civilians secure inside and the rest of Equestrias evil outside. Crim made it to the top of his tower to find a small package sitting on his desk, a small package with his name written all over it and a letter about what it contains inside. Crim ripped open the package to reveal the platnum chip that he had been waiting for over 200 years, in mint condition. His second in command, who went by the name of 'A.D' was pleased to see her boss in the wildest excitement. Crimson took off his Black Elite Riot gear and took the platnum chip into a secret location underneeth Crimsons casino tower 'The Fantastic 37'. He then inserted the platnum chip into a computer which then obsorbed all the chips data and spit the chip back out, now making the chip worthless. The Computer then shut down all of the Securtrons in Equestria for 2 minutes, their screens turning blood red as they upgraded. When done, the Securitrons now had a gigantic upgrade, Missle systems, gattling lasers, grenade launchers, flamethrowers and a 10mm pistol where the weapons they now possessed, they also had a self repair system, making the securitrons nearly invincible. They could now kill over 4000 soliders with the loss of only securitron. Los Pegasis now had the strength of nearly all of prewar equestria in one city, and that wasnt half of his army Crimson was now about to upgrade his spearhead weapon, a gigantic 3 story tall humanoid robot known as Equestria Prime. Prime was constructed with a metal that was nearly indestructable and used the strongest energy weapons ever created. A upgrade to him would be enormous, taking nearly a entire week to upgrade. Crim was going to start the upgrade until he was interupted by his butler. 'Sir, we have visitors in the Fantasic 37. They say to be ambasitors from New Equestria and want busisness with you' The Butler said Crimson was now slightly frustrated. 'Send them in. Ill be with them in a minute.' he said as he then started the upgrade for Prime. Crimson thought that Equestria can no longer be ignored, he wants peace with Equestria and would be happy to cooperate with them for rebuilding the war torn empire. But if they want war......
"Ah, it is so nice to see you." Caesar said to Crim over the table, "I am Caesar, formally Bloody 2, former second in command of Commandos and now Commander of the West, which basically means I control all Commando operations outside New Equestria. I see that you are probably wondering why we have the huge fleet of Vertibucks, well, it was a pretty big move. Half of all Commando equipment is now under my control, even a special little secret that you should find most interesting." Caesar pulled out a small file from her saddlebag and dropped it on the table in front of her, spilling out several pictures of a satiellite and a massive blue beam shooting from it, which was shown to destroy everything it touched on the ground, "It's called Celestia's Touch. It was one of those last advancements in the great war, technology that has fallen under our jurisdiction. I was thinking, Mr. Crim, together, we can make Los Pegasus uninvadable. Think about it, Vertibucks patrolling the skies, your securitrons patrolling the streets, our troops ready to strike out against any oppenent at any time. And then, Celestia's Touch could destroy invaders before they even reach you. What do you say?"
Crimson thought about the offer that Caesar had given to him. He no longer wanted to run a empire, he wanted to join the rest of Equestria and help advance its glory towards those who want to destroy it. An Orbital Laser is a nice weapon, but would be useless to the city if New Equestria betrayed him as the shield technology he developed himself 145 years ago makes an orbital attack of any kind imposable. Crimson liked their offer and he has grown a relationship with New Equestria, but now he will make an offer that they would have dreamed of. “Caesar, your orbital weapon is quite impressive and the idea of Los Pegasis being uninvadeable is my dream come true, but now I have a offer for New Equestria. And you’re going to love this.” Crimson said in a smart but still business like tone. ‘”I have recently upgraded my securitrons to their maximum capability, which means they can kill 4000 hostiles with the loss of only one securitron. And that’s not all, I’ve also have a last advancement of pre war technology called Equestria Prime. The finest killing machine ever created, its metal construct makes it basically indestructible and uses the finest of pre war energy weaponry. If we agree to this deal, then Los Pegasis will become a part of New Equestria, your military resources will be increased 10 fold and my position of this new empire will be no greater then what it is now. Do you accept?”
"I'm sure New Equestria would be delighted with a new city of old coming back." Caesar said, "But let me warn you, you may find the peace quite boring to say the least. Anyways, with your offer, it appears I will have to continue my march westward, as your offer would place this city in the original Commandos juristiction. All further negotiations will have to continue with my higher-up, his name is the Soldier, and he shall probably have you talk with the Goddess Celestia." Caesar said. She pulled a small disk from her saddlebag and placed it on the table between the two. A small hologram of a pony's face with a large, fading scar going from his right eye to the of his mouth popped up quickly afterwards, "Blo.. I mean, Caesar, I told you to only use this in emergency! And you certainly don't look like to be in any trouble!" Caesar simply turned the hologram around to face Crimson. "Oh, hello." the hologram said trying to conduct itself, "I am the Soldier, but my real name is Julion, if you so wish to call me by so."
