Couldn't think of a title. You awake in the sleeping chambers, and there's something different about your home at the EkTek island facility. It appears as if the entire place was abandoned, and all the other sleeping chambers' monitors read ERROR--SUBJECT MISSING. The door for your chamber is open, and there are two lit signs by two doors. There is a door to the left, its sign reads: AI ROOM. The other door is to the right, its sign reads: INTERDIMENSIONAL TESTING ROOM. Which door will you enter? Spoiler: Back story The back story is that you're on an island in the Atlantic after a miltary assault on the US. Although the entire assault failed, many downed aircraft crashed into the island's surface faculties, causing an evacuation of eveyone except you, since you overslept and the sleep chambers were blocked off. You are trapped in the underground faculties for now. AND YES IT HAS PONIES.
It varies from forum to forum we use, HTML:
text goes here
Spoiler: roleplay feedback This looks ok, it could probably do with some fleshing out - but it's nice to see a rp attempt here at long last!
You decide to take the right door to the INTERDIMENSIONAL TESTING ROOM. What's the worst that can happen? Spoiler: Text based RPG I've never done one of these before. Am I doing it right?
You enter the interdimensional testing room. There is a green portal with computer monitors to its left and directly above it. The monitor to the left lists all visitable dimensions, labeled A to Z. By each dimension letter here is a colored circle. 24 are red, which stands for "Impossible to return from", one is yellow which means "Returning technology possible in the next few centuries" and one green, which stands for "Technology to return available". You notice the green-labeled dimension is known as Dimension P, and the one labeled yellow is Dimension M. Which dimension do you select? Spoiler: Text-based RPG Yes, you are doing it right.
You select the only dimension which allows full, safe return, and you almost step into the portal when a robotic, male-sounding voice announces, "Leaving so soon? I finally got the speakers online. You should stay and do one more test before they get the rubble cleared to repair the facility. As you can see, the pipes are leaking." Will you travel through the portal or stay?
You decide to stay in the facility, hoping to stay in your own dimension, not knowing what the portal had in store. The AI instructs you to follow the hallway with red lines painted on the floor. "I only need you to plug in this cord, snd then you can do what you were doing." You notice a large plug next to a large outlet. There is absolutely no hint to its purpose or function. Do you push the large plug into the outlet, or do you walk away back to the portal?
You push the plug into the wall."That's a lot better, we can remove the rubble now. I actually need you to do a test for me by inspecting that portal's transportation, to see if it's working right. I'd suggest traveling to the green-labeled area." As you walk towards the portal, the monitors in the hallways switch from a red flashing warning screen to bluish screen displaying the words "Stay calm". You are now standing at the portal, do you wish to enter?
You pass through the portal, and pop out into a cave. Looking down, you notice that your hands are gone. Your feet are gone. You are on all fours. Laslty, you're feeling a tad bit shorter. A large five-screen monitor opens up in front of you, the four small screens displaying medical statistics (heartrate, blood pressure, etc; this data is coming from the company's medical implant they put in you), and the large not displaying anything. A small machine just under the large screen extended and scanned your body with infrared light. S full-body image was built onto the large screen, and you notice that it's kind of shaped like a horse. At the end of the cave, there's a slight tinge of sunlight and a large rock is blocking the exit. Some machines are connected to the rock. As you begin to walk to the end of this cave, the rock moved so that the entire outside was visible. You notice a town, with another town floating above it, composed of clouds. Will you turn back into the cave, or will you exit? Spoiler: re:woah I think of the plot ahead of time and type the occurences when I have to.
I think I will go back and examine the cave further for more information before wandering my way towards town.
You seem to notice several semi-dim monitors on the cave walls, some displaying obfuscated garbled gibberish and others actually readable. One of these monitors stands out, stating that in order to not be seen as a possible threat to the nearby society you must form an alibi to use instead of admitting how you got to said area. There is a box with walking sticks and bags, perfect for making a travel pack thing. The alibi suggested is that you were shunned by your parents and that you're wandering the area, searching for a home. Will you use this alibi, make another one up, or tell the whole truth?
I think I'll grab the traveling pack, but make up a new alibi, depending on the kind of environment I'm in.
Turns out there's civilization, for as you exit you notice a small town. Will you approach the town? Spoiler: Trouble D: Lol, that was short, but anyways I'll be leaving for a week with no 3G-capable phone (Oh noes!) so this'll be, like, dead for a week.
I will approach the town. Spoiler: Ciphered It's cool man, I don't think anyone minds. Have fun at wherever you are going!
Time unfreezes after about 7 days. The organizer of this adventure reapproaches his phone. As you walk towards this town, you begin to notice some confusing issues with the environment. Flying ponies (Which are also confusing you) are pushing clouds through the air. After entering this town, you bump into a grey and silver pony. You notice he has a mark resemblant of a familiar symbol near his hind areas."Pardon me", he says with a fake British accent, and he walks onward to an apple stand. You notice a blond-maned pony at another stand, and there's a smell of apple cobbler emanating from it. Do you approach the stand first, or do you work on getting a place to live? Spoiler: Offtopic I dreamt about a mix between Battlefield and GTA last night (I think it had ponies in it too), so I had to prevent myself from called the place to live a safehouse.
You approach the stand, and the pony greets you. "You look new here! My name's Applejack. We've got some Red Delicious samples for free. Want any?". The pony has a southern drawl, and this accent is recognizable from an event back on Earth.*Was it that business meeting in the Outer Banks?* you think to yourself. Do you take a free sample, or do you leave and find a home? Spoiler: Offtopic The hay I had fun, but I almost painted a cave wall with my brains when I was caving.
