It's a warm day, and the AI city is buzzing with the morning work. A group of 4 living ponies finds themselves in an old warehouse, with two AI's conversing a little ways away from them. One, a normal AI pony, Alexandrite and the other, a floating mass of blue energy, OPIAT. The living ponies are distraught, and are deciding what to do about the two AI's, who seem harmless, and slightly different than the other AI's. Alexandrite speaks to OPIAT. Well, I honestly don't think the city will miss me, I mean, they will just replace me with another adequate society member, it's not like they know HOW to miss ponies anyways. Which, again I have to thank you for this wonderful ability.
"Your welcome Alexandrite." OPIAT said, "But it appears some ponies have arrived to join your resistance. I shall provide all the knowledge I can." then OPIAT waited for the ponies to come closer, but when they didn't he called out, "Oh please do not come, it's not like we don't have all day here!"
"I know, right?" Heartburn said, staying on her side of the room. "If we were to just stay on this side and mind our own business, you wouldn't have any sort of problems, now would you?" Heartburn scowled at the AIs. These two are different, but they're still AI, she thought. If they were some kind of spies...but they're our only chance... snorting she kicked the ground underneath her. What should she do? Taking a step closer to OPIAT, she said "Might you tell us your intentions before we start getting friendly? I'm not exactly up for surprises."
OPIAT groaned, his body flashing with every syllable he spoke, "Look, I have lived far too long to deal with ponies like you. I am older than Equestria itself and you still treat me like the common AI." OPIAT made a tsking sound, "I would have expected better of you. Do you wish to bring back the times before or not?"
Saiym was sitting by a window, letting sunbeams change the color of his hoof while also giving him a small amount of warmth. He heard OPIAT and Heartbrun bickering abit, and looked over to them. He didn't like AIs either, but F3 had said to him that OPIAT is a semi-friendly one. Though Alexandrite he didn't trust for a minute. He looked back at his hoof and continued the spectrum play, as he called it, ignoring the voices outside his head. One thought lingered in his mind, though... F3 had vanished along with Karl the day before Saiym met the others, and F3 had told him to, "Stay put." He hadn't ofcourse when he had chose to go with the ponies, but why? The building had gotten raised to the ground a day later by some unknown force, so why had F3 told him to stay in it? The thought bounced around in his head, making it abit hard to concentrate.
Gaze was scribbling some musical notes onto a piece of paper until he had heard OPIAT say something he did the finishing touches and he laid the piece of paper onto the table "Sorry I was writing some music," he got up from the table and walked close enough to OPIAT.
"Thank you." OPIAT said, "Oh and nice peice, very smooth an well written." OPIAT thought about what he had just said and decide to explain, "Alright, I guess I should tell you about me. Let's see here: I was created a little over 10000 years ago by the previous occupants of the planet as a collection of all knowledge that ever has been on this planet. I know everything about anything, if you were to right something down right now, I would know exactly what is was before you even showed it to me. I can also predict the future with great accuracy."
Alexandrite stood and listened to the ponies, glancing between them. She smiled when Gaze placed music on the table, but otherwise just stood quietly, listening to OPIAT share his information again. Her shining eyes landed on Saiym playing the light off of his hooves. She watched the spectra change with full curiosity.
Zypher sat next to the window and listened to Gaze's music while staring at other two A.I. He didn't want to speak or argue anythings. He doesn't want to interrupt the music. He want to keep this moment going on forever. He understand that... He grab Alice from his back and check it elaborately. He doesn't want anyone to touch it. "Alice..." He mumble to himself sadly. And then he decide, he turn Gaze music off. He hold his Alice on his hand and he walked to Alexandrite direction. He said.. "Alexie... What is a plan? There is two A.I. outside the house. We can let them go but also we can't alarm those A.I. Network" Zypher grab Alice's Magazine from his pocket and reload the gun. "This also robot can be trust." He point the gun at OPIAT "How can we trust IT? What if IT is A.I. spy. He must be terminate at once, if that happen!!"
OPIAT just laughed at the threat, before a shot of blue energy shot out from him and literally disentegrated the gun, "I am pure energy, you can't hurt me!" he laughed, "And I served Tremalion and Celestia and the whole royal family, what in the name of Equestia makes you think I'm a spy?" OPIAT sighed, "Yes I know you are distrustful of AI's, and for good reasons two, but I am literally different. The AI contruct has nothing on me, in fact, of I tried to plug myself in, it would literally fry every single AI connected to it from the sheer amount of knowledge I hold!"
Alexandrite stared at the pair, miffed. "OPIAT, I do not think he meant true harm...I think he is just a frightened pony..." Alexandrite swept up the ashes of Zypher's gun and set them on a nearby table.
"Do not worry, it was merely temporary. But I must require that no weapons be pointed at Anypony, for the sake of peace." OPIAT said to Alexandrite, "Now, just ask a question and I will answer to the best of my ability."
Gaze stared at the ashes of the gun and raised his hoof and noticed that he wasn't in school anymore "Well I got a question if your made of pure energy and can't be hurt why can't you just barge into a city and kill all of the A.I's?" he sat back down a looked at OPIAT for the answer.
"I believe I have already answered that question. I was made as collector of knowledge, and can only do things such as that in self-defense, and never lethally, even for AI." OPIAT answered calmly.
"Fair enough! If Alixie said so..." He kept his Alice away and clam himself down "Anyway, there is still far more to go for the future of Equestria. I hope you know what you doing, OPIAT. If I found that you are betray us, I will murder you!!". He decide to turn on Gaze music again and listen closely to the conversation about what OPIAT gonna to say... "Go on then.."
"You do not want me destroyed. My death would result in an explosion of energy that would likely vaporize everything in a several mile radius. Now onto buisness. The real reason why you where called to this particular warehouse is because, well, what better way to put it than welcome to the ancient Canterlot Palace." a projection suddenly shot out of OPIAT, making a map of the Grand Royal Palace in full 3d form. "This is what we are currently standing on." OPIAT said, zooming in on a hall, "Tremalion's old Hall of Valor." the projection ended and suddenly where they were standing dropped down like a large elevator, "Or, where we are going now."
"And what are we to find in Tremalion's old hall?" Heartburn asked suspiciously. "The point is to solve the AI problems, not look through some old historic artifacts. I don't see what good that would do any of us.
"To understand one's history, is to understand one's future. We need to go to the roots, to find where we must grow." Alexandrite pressed her metallic hooves into the ground and waited for the 'elevator' to stop. "Anways...we are looking for a few certain ancient items...OPIAT, you know how to explain this better than I."
OPIAT got a point... To know the future, we must understand the past... What happen to this world anyway? How is it ended up like this? "Will do OPIAT... sound like a plan" said Zypher "but how can we get in their without notice the guard... or how about hidden pathway... any information?" He check Alice condition again to make sure it is still working properly. It's still work. Now I'm afraid he might ruin my Alice next time...
"I used to be Tremalion's assistant, giving him a cast source of knowledge to use. History repeats itself, my dear ponies, I should know that better than any of you." OPIAT said. The elevator stopped and there was a small door in front of them. "One moment please." OPIAT said, drifting through the wall. A few moments later, the door slid open to reveal a massive hall, dusty and cobwebbed from years and years and years of no use. "Now I can tell you the true reason why we are down here." OPIAT said, floating down the hall as the others followed, "The royal family never actually died. Their in fact immortal. And no, they aren't here, but the key to 'wake them up' from the comatose they are currently in is."
