What the title says, it would involve standard weapons of war used any time from 1912-1918 and magic. Anyone interested? It'll be based loosely off of World War I. I am not extremely knowledgeable about World War I, so any bits of information would be very helpful. EDIT: In case you couldn't tell, I'm tired and lazy right now, I'll add more later
Yes, whai? I would prefer 1912-1917, the real WWI... Caught my eye with the "World War" thing though, I'm quite the enthusiast of both of them. I mean, not that they were good, but they were interesting. So, awaiting further details...
I'm quite history geek when it comes for ww1 and ww2 and world war one happened between 1914-1918 not 1912 (aka the year of the sinking of the titanic) also they believed it would be other by Christmas the two sides had a football game in no mans land for Christmas then returned to war after Xmas. America joined late in the war (1917) while the British empire, Britain, France, russia, Japan Italy plus others fought against the german empire, Austria-Hungary, the ottoman empire and Bulgaria. (I could go on all day about this but I won't anyway I'm in can't wait to see my oc using a Lee Enfield rifle, webley revolver and Vickers machine gun)
Actually, the Lee Enfeild was the worst rifle on the field of battle on the Western Front. Both the Mauser and the Springfield rifles were better in almost every area, from durability and reliability to range and caliber. Anyways, yea rp seems interesting enough, I'll do it.
Actually The Lee-Enfield is moderately accurate, but bloody robust and extremely reliable. The Lee Enfield no 1 mk 3 made in 1907 the rifle held 10 rounds compared to the Springfields 5, the Enfield has a faster and smoother bolt pull than the Springfield and in a speed and accuracy test on R.Lee ermeys lock n load against the Springfield the Enfield came on top and if it was bad how come it served us through both world wars.
I'm with Cobrabrony with this, though I'm more knowledgeable with World War II through Vietnam to present day. Heck I'm going to college to become a military historian, oh and I will join.
I wasn't saying it was bad, I was saying on the field of combat, it was merely beaten out by better weapons. There's a difference between a show scenario set up for an old marine who fought in the Vietnam War, and how the weapons actually performed in the heat of battle in WWI.
