Aeons ago, there existed a gorgeously vast and lush world called ‘The Gaia Lands’. These lands were home to all kinds of life that grew and flourished into grand civilizations and lived in peace. Life became more intelligent and created kingdoms that loomed over the wild beasts that lived among them. But not all life was created pure-heartedly. Some creatures were born evil and their souls corrupted. They developed blood thirsty desires and destroyed many unsuspecting kingdoms. These beasts had been corrupted by a rare source dubbed as 'Dark Aura', a parallel to the strain that created all life to begin with. After many decades of research the top scientists of the Gaia Lands soon discovered a way to fend off these dark creatures. There were areas in the land producing large quantities of pure aura in a compact radius. These 'Aura Fields' were capable of fending off the corrupted beasts, making it impossible for them to enter without killing them. This allowed the many species of life to create larger and more defendable kingdoms without fear of being attacked. Your origins come from one of the many kingdoms that were built in the new protected era. Said kingdoms are; Eruithen, the Kingdom of Elves in the north, ruled by Queen Vallacus, Dwoith, Kingdom of Dwarves in the east, ruled by Lord Cratin and Valefine, the Kingdom of Man in the west, ruled by King Arctus. As a reoccurring tradition of 2 decades past, the 3 kingdoms get together to thank the goddess Gaia, the being that created them and protected them, and converge onto 1 kingdom to celebrate. This years host, Valefine, has the celebration under way and is in it's 2nd out of a 3 day celebration. During a speech made from the 3 leaders of the land, King Arctus is suddenly impaled by an arrow and collapses in front of the masses. Fear is spread across each kingdom and soon each race is blaming each other for Arctus' assassination. You find yourself taking on a job to hunt down the assassin who murdered Arctus and hopefully find a way to resurrect him.
