I know I packed one in my AVR box, but I don't remember if I sold it. So much RDW material.

Me, I never do well in multiplayer. It's one thing to handle one player that's trying to kill you, but another thing to handle five, and Guttersnipe just broadcasts to the table that you're the one to kill first. XD

I might sideboard him out for Trade Secrets in that case. It's a good card for politics.

I've always had an interest in the Paranormal (especially Ghosts), but it's been growing in the past few weeks, so I thought I'd just ask;
Is EP interested in any of that Paranormal crap? Ghosts, Aliens, Conspiracies, that sort of stuff?
Does EP think they've ever witnessed anything paranormal? Seen any UFOs? Witnessed a ghost on your stairway? Seen objects fly about the place like it's nobody's business?

I don't know whether I'd say I believe in the Paranormal, but I have witnessed things that've seemed a little off to me.
And y'know, it doesn't take belief to arouse curiosity.

Anyway, paranormal general.

PS; The image is of the Ancient Ram Inn, which's been standing for almost 1000 years. It's supposedly heavily haunted.

well... I heard there's a game called "The Thumb Game" which you have to find a left thumb from a woman that was murdered, and her body parts scattered, you need at LEAST 3 people to do this, you sit in a circle you best can do, and grab the person next to you's LEFT thumb, close your eyes and you chant something, and you appear in a world, but in your mind, like a house... and also, if you feel a tap on your shoulder, DO NOT look behind you, or you will be stuck there, forever, if you find the thumb, you get a wish, if you don't, nothing really happens, also, you need to blow out the candle BEFORE it goes out on it's own, or you will be stuck there.

Sounds interesting. Might look into that, actually.

I've heard of an eerie game too, though you may have heard of this.
It's called the Midnight Man. You play it by turning all light off in your house. You light a candle write your name on a piece of paper, before pricking your finger and putting a drop of blood on the paper. Then Knock a certain ammount of times on your door, and make sure you land the last knock at 12am. Open the door, blow out the candle, close it again. Then re-light your candle.
Apparently, this'll summon the Midnight Man, who you will have to avoid while walking around your house- Like the slender man in Slender, really. If he's near, it gets chilly and your candle'll go out. You hear a whisper, and he appears in front of you. You have to relight the candle within the next ten second, or throw a circle of salt around yourself, staying in the circle until 3:33 am. If you fail to, he tortures you until 3:33 am

Sounds like a way to make people look weird to me. Imagine waking up to find your partner sat in the middle of the living room, in the early hours of the morning, surrounded by a circle of salt.

My dead grandfather still hangs around after 20 years.
Usually moves things into weird places. In one case a basket ball that was perfectly still on a table fell down and no one was anywhere near it.

And another. My mom told me this story, there was a fire in my grandmothers kitchen, i don't exactly remember what else happen, i think after the fire department showed up they opened the garage door and the smore drifted out in a bizarre twisting pattern.

And i'm pretty sure he rearranges my fishing gear sometimes.

Man, that fire one's strange.
My Mum told me that in our old house (An old place in Cornwall) stuff would move around. It'd go missing for a while, and then it'd just appear on top of the kitchen cupboards, where my Mum couldn't even reach. Just ordinary stuff, like bags, keys, books, that sort of thing.
There always seemed to be an odd presence in that house.

More recently, in the house we live in now, I remember waking up randomly midway through the night and seeing a shadow person at the foot of my bed. I looked at it for a while, and it seemed to look at me. Then it just disappeared.
Many people say that shadow people are supposed to be Pure Evil, but I felt quite comfortable when I saw this thing. Perhaps it was just the trick of the eyes, or something, but it seemed pretty real. I don't think it was all that dark either.

My family have supposedly witnessed stuff in that room too, though they rarely talk about it. I've since moved out of it, and haven't had anything strange happen where I currently am.

I've got a few more, but I'll save 'em for later.

That reminds me. One time several years ago i woke up and saw this bizarre angelic female standing at the foot of my bed.

She was completely white and dressed in tattered cloth with it and her hair blowing around.

What was odd was her eyes in that they're weren't any. Just pitch black. She saw me, backed up a little, then vanished. Behind her was this white and blue portal like thing.

Oh boy! One of my favorite subjects of discussion!

While I've never had anything involving ghosts, but aliens! The first ufo I had ever saw was during a trip to Montana, it was night and my family had pulled up to a ridge to look at some sort of landmark, my family all looking out away from the valley below, trying desperately to try and see it in the dark. My lack of interest and the obvious signs that I wasn't going to see it if I tried, drew my gaze down to the valley where I witnessed a peculiar orb of light that flying around for a good bit before it took of in the distance.

The second sighting of a peculiar craft was on my way to Seattle by train. We were stopped half way between in some town I never got the name of, and I had brought my video camera, so I was dicking around with it, staring out the window when I noticed an orb, I tried zooming in but it was moving quite fast and I had a hard time keeping it in frame, but I had a solid three seconds of it on film. What I saw fully was a sphere, covered in spikes, spinning very rapidly.

I've been keeping an open mind about what I actually saw, but never had actual evidence to prove what it was that I saw, rational or irrational explanation.

But now whats frequently happening, and has repeatedly happened, there is a particular neighborhood, that I have lived in off and on, as well as some family members. Of all the times I've been there, I've always had the foreboding feeling of being watched and seeing odd light sources, as well, the stronger the former is the more likely the later was presented. It was also impossible not to be awoken randomly at 4 am every night. And finally, there were the dreams. And I say dreams cause again I cant prove they weren't, but I'm still haunted by them and their possible implications. I was also not alone in my experiences, my family often noted the weird sites they were seeing.

I saw a couple of UFOs once.
They were so high up that they were no more than bright lights in the sky, and I thought that they were airplanes at first, until I realized that they were moving faster than any airplane that I'd ever seen.
I then assumed that they were either some kind of supersonic Air Force jets, or possibly a pair of passing satellites, until they started darting back and forth across the sky, making turns that would be impossible for any jet.
I watched them for fifteen minutes before they finally disappeared, and I still have no idea what they were.

Kinda jealous. I've never actually witnessed a UFO, but lots of people did see something in my town a year back. They sent some pictures around, my favourite of which is below. I think B-Dog posted this shortly after the sightings. He didn't take the picture, but he did witness the lights.
Unfortunately, I'd have been on the computer with my back to the window, so I missed it. :((

Ahh. My uncle has lots of stories of these weird apparitions appearing.

Most of the stuff was related to witchcraft and such. My uncle is a pastor and he often gets called up to go to houses that people moved into and were suspected to be used for things like devil worship and such. The family in particular was having problems with this unshakable feeling that something was watching them, they would often wake up at night and see smallish gargoyle like creature peering over the foot of their bed or if they are walking around a corner they would sometimes see things in the corner of their eye crawling away up the wall and disappearing. They also got this uneasy feeling of fear when they were near certain objects in their house that were there when they moved in. So my uncle went in to remove the items, I can;t remember what the name of what he did, but he basically like christened the house, like what Methodists do to newborn babies. Something like that, anyway he prayed over the house and burnt the items that were causing the family unrest. Long story short the Items were wooden (I think one was a small chair) and they literally burst into flamed and one of them shot up into the air with a scream and exploded like a firework. The family had no more problems after that.

Another one he told me was he was at a camp and the first night one of the girls' dorms was reported to be attacked, the girls said these things appeared and started strangling them violently. The next day, some research was done and it was found that that room had been used for witchcraft before. So my uncle was giving a talk to the campers about witchcraft when a large apparition appeared in the window behind my uncle and he turned around and rebuked it and it disappeared. The girls were moved out just in case and that was he end of that.

I highly doubt many people will believe these stories but I believe my uncle cause well, I believe that angels and demons exist as well as another spiritual realm soo...call me crazy if you want to.

Yeah, I've heard that items can have an effect of spiritual activity, so it wouldn't surprise me.
There's even this one US program about such items called "Haunted Collector", which has started airing on Really. Don't watch it, it's awful. It's so staged, it puts shivers down thine spine.

Hey, speaking of items, I was once sitting in my living room- Y'know, just watching some TV. Now, my living room has these modernist paintings around it.
So there I was, just sat there, watching Have I got News for You or something, when one of the bloody painting goes flying off the wall. Like, half-way across the room, landing on my rug. It was very sudden, scared the living bricks out of me.
There was no draft, and even if there was one, it wouldn't have been capable of that. And it definitely didn't just fall- It went up into the air, and fell, as though it was thrown.
It's only happened that one time though.

I've got two theories- Aliens, or Poltergeist.

Poltergeists are pretty cool from what I've heard about them. I wouldn't want to see one though, I'd probably crap bricks.

Hmm well, I've seen some strange things. Floating lights flying in a strange pattern. The appearance of a (somewhat stylized) human skull in a bottle of water. A giant glowing skull floating in the night sky. All those neat little things. :omg:
Nothing supernatural, though.

Hey, EP, someone just posted this on /x/, and it captured my interest. Don't know whether you've heard it before. What do you guys think? PS; If you wanna skip directly to the call, it's at 0:45

I don't know whether to think it's fake. Midway through the call something pulled them off the air, and they had to use a backup to continue broadcasting. Which's weird. You guys think it was all staged? I think it probably was, but still

Okay, imagine the scene, you're a 12 year old kid, and you've just knock-knock gingered some neighbour down the road. Successfully. Would you then knock again, directly after, just to apologise? This (probable) prankster has just successfully prank'd a radio show, and perhaps a good portion of the audience, and the cutting off midway through was just the icing on the cake. You'd feel happy with that as a prankster, wouldn't you? Ironically, for me it's the fact that he then apologizes that sets alarm bells ringing for me.
