Limited Edition groaned as she came to with a splitting headache. Every movement amplified the pain as if she was undergoing the side effects of drinking a ton of cider. Whenever she tried to think about the past events on what could have given her such a pain, her 'hangover' amplified again and scrambled her thoughts. 'One thing at a time...' she thought to herself. Limit pulled herself up, steadily getting her legs back. The ground felt soft, and gave way when she pushed on it. It had the consistency of sand, so she assumed she must be on a beach. Limit opened her right eye a crack and was blinded with a flash of light reflecting off the scenery. 'What did I do to deserve this?' she thought with a tang of annoyance. As Limit became more lucid, she came to the realization that it was actually odd that she would be on a beach right now. Was she dreaming? She smacked one hoof against her leg, and slight pain registered. Definitely reality. By now, Limit was able to open her eyes enough to see what was around her. She stood upon a beautiful beach with a grove of trees leading farther inland, and blocking any sight past them. The sound of waves collapsing over on themselves filled the air around her. Her bag lay conveniently next to where she was sitting, so she picked it up and put it over her back. When she was sure it was on tight, Limit took a moment to look around the beach in observation. The light seemed to dance as it reflected off the sand and water. In the distance, she saw a form that almost resembled a pony. Was there somepony else here? Perhaps they could explain what had happened. She was about to walk towards the collapsed form when she realized that there was more to the noise than the lapping of the ocean on sand. A faint humming brought her attention to under herself, where she spotted a simple stone. Stones don't hum! She moved backwards and got a closer look at it. There was an alien sigil implemented in the side of the stone. The rock was indeed curious, but she was more invested in the fact that there could be others here. She picked up the rock with her mouth and planted it safely in her saddlebag where she could check it out later. Looking back at the form, she brought herself to walk towards it, becoming more and more cautious as she got closer.
Rashall gets up and looks around, he notices that one pony has already gotten up. Rashall then notices that he had been on top of a rock as well, it was etched with the Eldar symbol meaning storm. He picks it up and puts it in one of his vest pockets and then walks over to the other pony. "Well at least I know I'm not alone here," says Rashall still heading towards the other pony.
It was an average day at work for Krisium. Nothing eventful has happened, and so he remains at his desk filling out paperwork and bills. An unexpected knock gets his attention as he turns his head toward the door. Wondering who it could be, he trots over and opens the door. Perplexed by the absence of anypony, he closes the door. Starting to make his way back to his desk, he jumps at the sound of another knock. Suspecting pranksters, he rushes to the door and flings it open. Jumping back in surprise at what greets him, he laughs nervously. "Letting a coffin delivery catch me off guard. My imagination must be on overload today," he jests with himself. Looking around to try and see who made the delivery, he shrugs and hefts the coffin inside. Laying it on the work space, he inspects it. The coffin seems to be of a high quality Krisium notices as he runs his hoof along the wood. The sudden knock from within the coffin quickly sends him sprawled to the ground. Frightened somepony was mistaken for dead and placed inside, he quickly sets about trying to open the lid. This proves to be more difficult than he expected, as the lid is heavier than what he is accustomed to. Whoever put a pony in this thing, didn't want them to get out. As he slowly gets the lid off, the banging inside the coffin gets more frantic. With a final heave, the lid hits the ground. Krisium rises to his hindhooves and places his forehooves on the edges of the coffin, when he suddenly feels something wet lap up against his forehooves. Waking with a start, he scrambles up to his hooves. He realizes he's in a cold sweat as he gets his bearings. Seems that he has somehow wound up on a beach, but he has no recollection of how he got here. A humming down at his hooves quickly draws his attention. Noticing an unusual stone with a symbol embedded upon it, he picks it up and places it in a pocket of his suit jacket. In doing so, he notices that the fur where the thing within the coffin in his dream touched him is damp. He shudders, and looks around again. Seeing two shapes that appear to be ponies moving about, he starts to make his way toward them. He certainly hopes they have an idea of how he might have gotten here, since this beach is unfamiliar to him.
Black Whisper got up. He blew him mane out of his eyes and looked around. He was stuck, on an Island, with others. He looked than to a stone underneath him. He didn't really have anywhere else to put it, so simply threw it into his saddlebag. "Oh... So... I dont get to replace that old house... Darn. Well, we happen to be here. What might your names be?" His voice was deep, and gravelly. He looked around. He then saw a forest. He glared at it. He wondered if it would burn, but decided it was best not to find out... Yet.
Limit yelped as two more ponies appeared. She had only seen one here! How had these other two snuck up on her in the first place? "My name?" She said quizzically. How was she to be sure that this pony wasn't some kind of uncivilized native? He seemed friendly enough. "Ah, well, I am known as Limited Edition." She glanced around at the other three as they looked at her. 'They don't look like they want to hurt me...' she thought. "My pardons, but I just woke up here a few minutes ago, and I have no recollection of how I got here. Could you tell me where I am? I'm pretty lost." She gained another realization that she was around three stallions and she must have looked positively awful. Limit's suspicions were confirmed as she ran a hoof through her mane, which as absolutely trashed. Suddenly, she began furiously attempting to comb it down. There was no way her first impressions on ANYPONY could be that she was some kind of ruffian who didn't take care of their hair! "A nice bath and place to stay would be nice too. Any of you have room to let a stranded mare in?" She said hopefully as she continued to run through her mess of a mane.
Rashall looked around before answering, "I think we are all in the same boat here Limited," he says to the mare.
Limited Edition blinked, confused. "I'm sorry?" She said. "You mean...you're not natives here? You're stranded too?" She stopped combing her mane and glanced over the other two. "Oh, Celestia! We're doomed to die on this island we've washed up on!" She glanced around nervously. 'Limit, you're doing it again.' 'Doing what?' 'Having an episode.' 'Woops!' Limted Edition got back to combing her hair, albeit slower this time. "Ah...sorry. We should probably find civilization and find out where we are then."
"I doubt we will find any such place here, even if we did those that live there might not like outsiders," says Rashall looking towards the forest.
Reaching the group, he overhears some of the snippets of their conversation. It sounds as though they all had suddenly appeared on this stretch of beach. He is unsure about going into the forest, but the group doesn't exactly have a lot of options. "The forest seems like a logical way to go. We'll just need to proceed with caution. It's certainly odd that all of us happened to wake up here with no recollection of how we managed to even get here in the first place."
"I'm with him," says Rashall gesturing towards the new arrival, "We need to get some shelter up pretty soon, before dark would be nice."
Whisper smiled. "The name is Black Whisper. I'll start a fire! NOPONY ELSE I CALLED IT!" He rubbed his neck with a hoof. "Yeah... I like fire..."
