Story: After the abduction of the throne from Princess Celestria due to a strange sickness, Equestria falls in its strength and has its highest crime rate since its independence a thousand of years ago. The crime rate remains at an all time high for decades, and when Princess Luna does her best to repair the broken system, she is assassinated by the important criminals for ‘A Righteous cause.’ Shortly before she died, she assembled what is now ‘The Justice Society of Equestria’, a group of remarkable individuals with remarkable powers to stop Crime around the Nation and promote peace, something that hasn’t been around for a very long time. This is their story…
Sprite sat on the roof of the tallest building in her beloved town. She stared at the ruined city, with a sense of duty, mingled with sorrow. What will become of us?
Pain, aka Vlomir, walked up besides Spite, he was assigned to help her, "Ah, another day, another criminal defeated, right comrade?" he asked in his heavy Russian accent, "So, what are we doin today? Any new targets?"
Sprite looked at Pain. "Not that I know of... I do want to go down to the town, see what I can find. Come with me?"
Standing in the Justice Society's training room, Ecliptic focused his telekinesis on a large supply crate. He grunted with effort, and the box rose, hovered for a few seconds, and fell with a dull thud. "Very good," his trainer said, "You're improving at a remarkable rate." "Not fast enough," Ecliptic said between breaths, "They won't let me out in the field *gasp* unless i can fling something twice as big as that across the room." He left the training room with a defeated look. There was nothing he could do except rest and try again later. He understood that magic was similar to a muscle: It becomes stronger with practice, but if you push too hard, too fast, you could injure yourself. Returning to his quarters, he flopped down on his bunk, and absent-mindedly revolving small objects around a book as he read.
Pain nodded to Sprite, "Right then comrade, let's go." He then walked up to the edge of the building, then jumped from the edge, flying a good 20 feet before he finally started to fall, landing on the next building with a thud, his heavy landing leaving cracks on the concrete roof, then he turned and called to Sprite, "Coming or no comrade?"
Sprite walked backwards a few steps, then gracefully launched into the air, doing a series of flips that kept her momentum going. She landed softly on the other building. "Let's go."
In another part of the Justice Society's Headquarters (the library, to be exact), a young female pony was travelling in between the stacks of books. On her back were already several books on hoof-to-hoof combat, self-defense, urban survival, and the like. For as small as she was, she didnt' seem to have too much trouble carrying the books to the front desk. The librarian, Dewey Decimal, glances up from his work and whistles. "Oh, hey Emm Dee Dub. Checkin' out?" Cherry Berry smiles and nods. "Yup! And, it's okay to call me Cherry when I'm out of my costume." Dewey takes the books and stamps the inside cover of each in turn. "Noted. But most heroes like to go by their aliases, ya know?" Cherry takes the books back after they are stamped and replies, "I know but...I mean, we're all friends, right? We don't have to be so formal around each other, do we?" With those words, she leaves Dewey to his work and leaves the library. As she takes her new books down the corridor, she wonders where a good place to read them might be. She didn't want to go to her room, but she didn't want to clog up the main meeting room, or attempt to try reading in the loud and often-times packed training room. She decided to head to the mess hall.
Tempest had just left the hospital wing of the headquarters and was heading towards the training dojo. Tempest who was out of his costume due to damage from his last battle. He arrived in the dojo grabbing his twin katanas from his locker and started flourishing away. Saying where he hits getting faster and faster. "left front hoof, left front hoof, right back, right front, head, head and.... (tempest jumped in the air kitanas facing down) back". He jumped off the mannequin, shook his hooves and tried to pull out the kitanas one by one. The first kitana came out easily the second not so much. "buck, why won't you just bud...(the kitana flew out and tempest went flying into a archery target) ge". Tempest stood up and brushed himself off sheathing his kitanas, headed to the tailor, changed into his costume, stapled on his belt, kitana sheathes and pistol holsters. He finally headed to the mess hall, piled his plate with hay chips, lavender sauce, popadoms, ghost chilli curry and poppyseed cake before sitting down next to cherry berry and stuffing his face. He swallowed his food "hi, I'm lifepool but you can call me tempest blaze".
Cherry glanced up from her reading at Lifepool/Tempest Blaze and recalled that the "Mess hall" was appropriately named. She blinked a couple times as she stared at the pile of food he had precariously assembled. She slid the rest of her books to her other side, just in case the tower of food came crashing down. Then, she smiled and introduced herself: "I'm Cherry Berry, otherwise known as Mare Do Well." She blushed slightly. "Well," she chuckled, "I'm not the original Mare Do Well... I just an earth pony. I can't fly or do magic like she could..." She got a faraway look in her eyes for a few moments, but soon snapped out of her fangirl imaginings. "I'm just...you know...carrying on her legacy." She extended her hoof. "It's a pleasure to meet a fellow hero, Tempest. Most of the others are gone on assignments by the time I get here from doing my rounds in Ponyville."
Lifepool shook cherry's hoof violently. "yeah I was in the hospital wing but due to my superhuman regenerative powers 4 bullet wounds healed in about an hour. So mare do well huh, I heard that she was discovered to be multiple ponies mainly the friends of the element of loyalty". Lifepool then got a popadom loading it with ghost chilli curry. "wish me luck this is said to be the world hottest curry". He eyed around the room spotting a gallon of water behind the mess counter. He took one large bite and then continued for 3 minutes finishing it off then his mouth exploded with heat. So he got up his Tongue swollen, dived behind the counter and chugged down the entire gallon. "vell, thwat dwas thot. Sould vonly thake twoo binitites thowgh". He sat down waiting for his Tongue to heal before restarting to eat the rest of the curry and popodoms. Luckily he had another gallon of water at hand.
Cherry took a moment to get her bearing back after being violently shaken by Tempest. It seemed that he, too, was appropriately named... When she finished to Tempest's explanation of Mare Do Well, she nearly fell from her chair laughing. "HAHAHA!! Mul- Multiple ponies! I've heard a lot of crazy theories over the years, but that! AHAHAHAHA!! But that's got to be the craziest!" She tried to stifle her laughter as she wiped a tear from her eye. "Oh...multiple ponies...that's a good one." *snerk* She then watched in awe as the hero downed the ghost chillis with a hint of popadom. "I don't think that's-" before she could finish her statement, he had dashed off to down a gallon of water. She then stared at him, completely dumbfounded that he even survived. I wonder if that's his superpower? Gee zooie... Before he tried to eat more ghost chilli's, she offered some advice. "Uh, oil and water don't mix. You should try milk to help with the burning..."
"you know what excuse me I've got some field work. Try the curry if you like". Lifepool put on his mask and did a somersault out the window narrowly missing pain. "oops, sorry about that and I think I may of broke my leg. Don't worry though I've got superpony regenerative powers so I'll be okay in an hour". He got up and straightened the crossed kitana sheathes on his back. "so where we heading and scuse my lisp had some ghost chilli curry before coming out so my Tongue hasn't fully healed yet".
Ecliptic woke up and looked at the clock. He had slept in much longer that he should have, and would be lucky if he could still get lunch. He got up and rushed to the mess hall, ignoring his lack of hygiene in favor of his lack of food.
(The story begins....) The struggling police force in Fillydelphia had sent a message to the Justice Society’s headquarters. Somewhere in Fillydelphia, a dozens of civilians, criminals and police officers were found dead in a street that went under a tunnel. The Writing on the tunnel only said ‘Plague walks’, no pony knows about Plague except Celestria where must be kept on constant life support in a classified location. The Fillydelphia police force messaged the Justice Society the message as ‘Urgent’. And that their first step was to find out about Plague from Joker, the justice society’s information commander who had a recorded record on Plague.
With a sigh, Ecliptic set down his large plate of food, taking an apple instead. Eating would have to wait; the Justice Society had jest recieved an urgent message. He took a bite and jogged to the meeting room, hoping he would sent out in the field this time.
Joseph Hacket, aka 'Joker' was at his high powererd computers receving the news of what had just happened. Joker was a master computer and system hacker with knowledge of the worst criminals in Equestria. He had just receved news of a criminal known as Dark Plague. Plague wasnt a criminal, he was more of a genocidal king. After gathering as much info from plague as possible, he put the infomation on a enormous television screen in the control center where he was located and sent a high alert alarm around the Justice Society's headquaters. "This is Joker, this is a code red alert. All Justice Society personal report to the control room immediantly." Joker announced over a Pa system.
