I was planning on making this thread sooner or later, but this image pretty much sums up what i was gonna say.
Considering that there are 6 keys, I can imagine at least 6 episodes being related to the box. Unless if they fit it all in the season finale, which I would punch the writer if that happened.
I had hoped it would be a season-long thing, where each character might have an episode or two to find their key, through learning some lesson, completing some challenge or something, but it's looking more like it'll be just a rushed finale. Which would be suckish. I'd at least hope they give us a longer Finale though, rather than trying to squeeze it all into one or two episodes, like usual. If they rush it, that'd just ruin it.
I hope they'll either put the final key in the finale, followed by whatever plot device, OR they find the first key in the season finale, and leave the rest of the key hunting for season 5.
I'm pretty annoyed too... I would think with rarity's episode last week perhaps the key to generosity would be found... But noooooooo :/ I hope it starts showing up soon!
There's 18 episodes left. I'm not worried. As for what's in the box... I stand by what I said in another thread (that was a rhyme, give me a dime), There is NOTHING in the box. The BOX itself is the Continuum Transfunctioner.
The box is clearly magic, so the keys could be anything. Even something as simple as a spool of rainbow thread.
How could it turn into a pokeball? That doesn't even make sense. Yeah we never really see how a pokeball works, but we understand the concept and that's all that really matters, isn't it? How does that even come close to relating to the mysterious box in the premier? I'm seeing this season like season one. The season was building up to the grand galloping gala but we only saw it mentioned once or twice. There's also all the random things that happen at the end of most episodes that seem to foreshadow something but we're not seeing any of those get resolved, either. This is still a show targeted at little girls, don't forget that. Yes bronies have built up a big following, but that doesn't change anything. The goal of the series remains to entertain children while also being a show adults can enjoy, which to me, it still is. It sort of annoys me how people keep thinking that the show is supposed to be more than that. Yeah there's inconsistencies, yeah it'd be nice to see more about the big plot elements, but for what it is, the show is still excellent.
Taking 20 can only be done out of combat and while not in any immediate danger, and also involves making 20 distinct attempts, with results progressing from 1 through 20, 20 not signifying an automatic success, which reminds me: People say I'm a kill joy. No idea why.
The pokeball is a special pokeball from the show throughout the orange islands season. It was originally planned to be opened, but ended up forgotten as the show went on. The comparison to the pokeball being "oh this looks important" and then the writers completely forgetting to use it ever.
Indeed, it is the GS ball, which as the season went on wouldn't open at all and got passed around a lot. It originally was going to lead onto a storyline involving Celebi...But then Celebi was destined for the upcoming movie, so they just had it passed on and then that was that, and nothing happened with it in the end. Basically saying the Mystery box may end up like the GS ball and be...well, mysterious, but randomly be ditched.
did is anyone else notice how the other threads were the mane 6 colours? Epic interesting idea though
Historically, things like this (significant story furthering elements) have only been presented during either premiere's or finale's. So it would actually surprise me more if it was something that was present during the entire season. Sorry to have to say it, but I'd put money on it not showing up again until the finale, and them finding all the keys all at once like they did with the Elements.
