Wonderland finished handing the drapes in her soon general store. A month of work is finally done and she could finally sit down and enjoy her work. She took a drink of her water and finished it off. "I cant wait to get my first official customer" she said smiling. She suddenly realized she had forgotten something and quickly trotted to the door. She flipped the closed sign to Open and smiled proudly as she saw the ponies walking and working outside.
Esy was carrying a pile of boards outside when he noticed somepony opening the soon to come general store. He gently put down the boards and trotted over to open the door.
"Hello, welcome to the General Store, helping you from the start." Wonder giggled and took her spot behind the counter as she smiled kindly to the new comer. "Im Wonderland by the way, its a pleasure meeting you!"
"Sort of, my father built the store. I just stocked the shelves and painted the sigh. can i help you with anything? Or how about a nice glass of Lemonade on the house?" she smiled and poured a glass with a lemon slice at the top. "Its locally made with the finest lemons from our tree outback."
"Oh, that's very kind of you!" He picks the glass up and takes a sip. "Mmm... Nice and refreshing, been a long day carrying building materials around..." He smiles at Wonderland. "You did a great job freshing the place up!"
"Thank you, and i think those materials are going to make the best buildings." she said pouring herself a glass too. "So tell me about yourself Esy, how did you come to Appleloosa?"
Esy takes another sip before he smiles. "It was quiet around Hoofington, and I heard there was work here!" He puts the glass down on the counter. "Was in need for a few bits, so I stayed for longer!"
"Well, welcome to the land! My family and I traveled from Trottingham and my father thought this town was in need of a store soo he built one an now im running it!" she looked around the room, examining the perfectly lined cans and products then down at the counter where little packs of candy could be found. "He recently died just before it could open, he grew really sick."
"Aww... What a shame..." He takes another look around. "The shop looks great... Do you run it all by yourself?" He drinks his lemonade up.
"No, i have a sister that helps during the evening." she said after she finished her own drink and put the glass back on its silver tray.
"Oh, that sounds nice, it would be tir-" Esy was placing his glass on the tray when his hoof met hers.
She blushed and smiled shyly, "Ya i suppose it is" she giggled and carried the tray into the back room. "can i get you anything else?"
"I don't think so... But I'll be back for more lemonade, I'm sure about it! And... You don't need any help do you?"
"No I'm good, but thank you!" she smiled sweetly as she came back out of the room and behind her counter. "Well I might need help picking more lemons, I can't reach the top ones."
"I would but sadly I am an earth pony." she giggled showing her wingless back and her hornless head. "Just a normal earth pony."
"its alright. Sometimes I wish I was one." she giggled and nuzzled his cheek kindly. "and thank you for the compliment by the way."
