Recently (And in the future too) there have been a lot of things going on as staff that the users have pointed out as a breach of their bounds, or just simply having suggestions as to what flaws the staff as a whole has and what they can do to improve.

This is the place to list all of your woes with the staff, as long as the criticism is mature and not just bashing on them for trivial matters.

Some matters are not to be posted here, however; if you have a personal problem with a staff member, please take it to an administrator where they will review your claim and get back to you on it.

Please remain civil and keep your hands on the rails at all times.

    You may begin.

From what I've heard so far, from users and mods alike, is that the mods are very liberal with the rules. Sometimes they barely apply and are enforced anyways, and sometimes they're almost flat out ignored. This is, of course, coming from biased sources, so I can't say if it's actually the case.

In any case, my proposed solution is making me king of all staff. The old spice guy is known for his wise and just rule, and as such, will make the perfect arbitrator.

Work on better consistency. That's one of the primary issues I continue to see.

A little less conversation, a little more action. Remember, you're in charge for a reason. Someone do something wrong? Do something about it. They complain about it? They shouldn't have broke the rules. Hire a guy to take appeals but don't let yourself be whined and complained into submission.

I personally would like the staff to stop stepping down so often. It's irritating. Most mods aren't even on most of the time.

From an ex-staff perspective, you need to understand that a lot of what they do is behind the scenes.
The job can be very... stressful at times, so go easy on them.

I know this. It's bothersome when three or four staff members step down each week.

I admit the last few weeks have been quite hectic in terms of people stepping down, but that's their own choice most of the time. They volunteered for the job, so they have the right to resign whenever they want to.

It's not always easy, but i'm afraid that's just how it is. No one can predict the future.

Feel free to share but if you think it's too much, maybe it's better to PM an admin about it.

There's also auto merging, so you can effectively have even more than 75,000 characters! Regardless, as long as the suggestions or "complaints" (I balk at this word as it encourages doing the opposite of what this thread is intended for, in my opinion) are constructive, I feel like you can post as many times as you like here. People are more willing to listen to civility than hostility though.

This thread should be taken out of existance. That is my suggestion. Why?...because my problems with staff involve calling out individuals and I'm sure that won't go well.

I see no good coming out of this at all.

We'll see what happens. If it gets out of hand, it'll be locked just like any other thread.

Personally, i'd prefer it if all complaints related to staff members are taken directly to admins before a public thread is posted if that's even needed, but that's just me.

I think he's referring to the staff lashing out at the opinions of users, which I hope won't happen.

Edit, nevermind I think I misunderstood his wording. Anyways, I think if there's issue with a specific member of staff that should go to an admin.

I agree with Tempest, to be quite honest, my complaint is that we've gotten enough complaints to have to make this thread. Is it just me or is that a little sad? Whatever, it's the Internet, so there's sure to be lack of perfection, and I know mods are humans like us, but truly, it's not the mods that need to be put in line, but the members, and the Mods in my opinion are too loose with them, and are almost doormats for the users. I know we're all people, and they'd like to act on the level of us, but I'd like to see more immediate action like Foxy said. I just don't understand why the mods are to blame here, it's just the Internet being the Internet, and I honestly expected better of a community based around a show teaching the lessons of friendship and togetherness. Understanding and appreciating the flaws of one another. I'm not preaching the 'Love and Tolerance' statement in which Bronies love to spread, but I'm just saying, watch the show, at least understand and interpret the morals. The in between that you're all so entertained with holds so much meaning, and honestly, I'm not the kind of guy that follows it because I'm a legitimately bad person, but even I can see that these things exist and need to be underlined in our society, and especially with the followers themselves. This, my friends, is not a community of people with friendship and togetherness, I'm watching a crumbling society being burned to the ground by the rebels, the leaders helpless. This is not where the site should be leading, but all good things must come to an end, at least, that's what many think, that it's coming to an end, in my opinion we've always been in this state. Soft Serve, out.

Make multiple posts. This is the thread specifically made for complaints and you're complaining about being able to complain.

Are you being serious right now?
