As with anything on the internet, this abides by certain natural laws that dictate action and reaction among those that partake and react to it. Through observation and research, one can easily determine the nature of said rules, in this thread we shall serve our rolls as researchers and thus report on said observable rules observed in the field. For the purposes of said research, these terms should be demystified: -Brony: one who partakes in the posting of pony -Non-brony: one who doesn't partake in said posting -Pony: the state of being or being related to mlp:fim. This word can easily be adapted to a verb by context in situations where something not normally related has thus been converted, such an object is said to be Pony'd or Ponified Observation #1: Any thread can become a pony thread, much to the available of the non-bronies that use it, should a minimum of 4 pony response images be posted within it. This can occur in any location for any topic.
SGT. Pac reporting. :derpe: *salutes* I have some info to report. Some people see brony as a male only term due to it being the words bro and pony put together. Observation #2: There is no way to combat the ponies from taking over a thread, section, or even site. They have all tried; from trolling to banning.
And this is why Pokemon Zone is now, to some extent, a pony-orientated website. We are the perfect race. I joined a forum and made a pony thread bashing bronies on it. It still lives, but as the general pony thread- it's over 70 pages long, 20 posts per page.
Wait... what? Also, I think there should be a name for us female ponies. We get left out in all the Brony love sometimes .
Feel free to come up with one. But is there a word used amongst girls? Like... We have bros and I guess yours' is sisters? Mare-sters? That sounds horrible. Uhmm... I guess y'all can just call yourselves Fillies?
Brony without the bro just becomes Pony, that work for ya? Honestly the term just seems similar to "Dude" in that a female connotation never really caught on, so the word is more or less genderless and can be used for either a male or female. Observation #3: It is near impossible to effectively troll a Brony in a pony thread Even channers were incapable of this, no matter what method they tried to use. The problem appears to be that they see it coming and expect it, along with the general nonchalant anti-srsbsns attitude that seems prevalent among the community. The result? Normal methods of trolling fall flat as they fail to produce an expected response for the troll.
Observation #3.1- Bronies are impenetrable. Literally- there is no way to stop us. We are like Terminators- we cannot be stopped until every last part is eliminated. Once a part is destroyed, we fix it. If Ponychan were to go down, we have EQ and Everypony. If RD network would be down, we have flankbook. WE CAN NEVER BE STOPPED.
You can totally be a brony and be a girl. Sure it started out meaning bro pony but it's evolved to be so much more, I think.
Observation #4 - Never read cupcakes. Spoiler: Contains Mature Content in the form of Psychological Trauma and Excessive Gore Here it is. Don't say we didn't warn you.
If you don't want people reading it.... then don't link it (reverse psychology ftl) Btw, is there rules about linking that sort of thing here?
I'm not too sure myself, but if the mods want to remove the link, they're free to do so- I have nothing against such a thing.
I haven't read it, just use your initiative guys :/ Spoiler tags/Content may disturb some parties etc... But I'll be lenient in the suburbs, just don't go making threads or announcements about that kind of thing
Neither do I. It wasn't a horrible story... I don't see what all the fuss was about. If anything it could have used MORE detail. But uhh... A spoiler saying it has some minor gory details might be a good idea.
Observation #5: Ponydom is dominant and spreads quickly. One or two threads about MLP:FiM in the off-topic section of a forum, next are the bronies who exchange their avatars with ponies, and voilà, the board is pretty much ponified. Observation #6, a.k.a. the Curse of Cupcakes: You don't even have to read it. It just takes a remote idea of what it's about to have you look at several episodes differently, including but not limited to Call of the Cutie and Party of One. Observation #7: By now, fanon has defined a certain bluish-gray pegasus pony (yes, the one with the bubbles cutie mark) so firmly that the Hub is very likely to write her out of character in season 2. Nevermind that that will be canon. First addendum to observation #7: Just about the same applies to the unicorn filly with the same hair that's said to be her daughter—regardless of having been spotted with four different cutie marks and blank flanks throughout the show. Second addendum to observation #7: By the end of summer, at least 70% of all background ponies will be defined in fanon. (On a sidenote: When season 2 is launched, I expect just about every character except maybe Golden Delicious and Seafoam to be wholly fanonised.) Observation #8: A fandom just needs to reach a certain size quickly enough, and it can have an influence on the production of the very first season already, even if it consists of people way outside the target audience.
