You noticed her as soon as she walked into town, though it wasn't for any particular reason. She just seemed...off. Like, always looking around herself as if checking to see if she was being followed. And avoiding everypony as much as possible. Strangest of all, you'd never heard her utter one word in the two days since she'd come to town and started staying in a room for rent. You first saw her by the entrance to the town. A mare with a deep blue coat, and a long, silvery, free-flowing mane. She seemed kind of shy. Then you saw her entering and exiting a house that had had a room for rent for a while. You assume she plans on living there, at least for a while. She always carries a small bag with her, tied around her neck by a piece of twine, but you've never seen what's inside it. Your house is very close to where she moved in, and after the second day, you decide to go figure out what's up. You can introduce yourself, or you can barge in asking questions, or you can try to sneak in while she's not home and rummage through her belongings. All of those are ways to figure something about about this odd mare.
Uniqua pushes her curtain open with her hoof, focusing on the strange mare's house. She hadn't even seen the blue pony open her mouth, let alone converse with anyone. "Maybe she's just shy." Uniqua mutters under her breath. But a part of her wants to meet this mystery mare, and find out what's in that strange bag. Uniqua, letting her curiosity take over, leaves her house to cross the road to the strange mare's rental house.
When Uniqua arrives at the house, she can tell that somepony is inside because there are lights inside, assumedly the mare is home. Of course, the door appears to be locked up quite tightly.
