The year is 20XX, roughly 15 years after the Second Impact. The world as we know it now is completely changed, and the last vestiges of humanity cling together in their tiny settlements and pray for salvation against the otherworldly monsters known simply as "Angels". The first, last, and only line of defense against the Angels is NERV, a specialized branch of the United Nations military that utilizes giant mobile suits called Evas, which are piloted by children. "God is in his Heaven; All is right with the World" - NERV creed "God help us." - Anonymous ----- Welcome to London-4, one of many fronts in the war against the Angels. The country that was once Great Britain now exists as a small chain of islands north of Europe. As such, it is the site of many extensive naval bases, and many of the islands are connected via large underground and underwater tunnel systems. There was still many civilian settlements in the area, and the U.N. was good enough to equip many of the large buldings with extensive undergroud facilities. In the event of an Angel attack, the citizens are instructed to go to "The Underground" and await further instructions. ----- Ok, enough history. Here is what I'm going to need from the players: Name: What's your name? Age: Probably 15, since they're the prime age to interface with the Evas Pilot Background: You have one of three options:Neo-Spartan: Neo-Spartans have been trained in combat and piloting since a very young age, taking the time to learn to use a large number of weapons. They are defined by their roles as warriors and pilots. There is nothing else for them. Prodigy: Prodigies are pilots that have only recently been tapped. They lack the extensive training of most other pilots, but maintain a synch ratio well above normal. Manufactured: A genetic experiment specifically designed to pilot an Evangelion. Though they often suffer from various disorders, the Manufactured can synchronize and pilot effectively - and are easily replaced. Pilot Bio: Your personal history goes here. ----- Most of this RP is heavily inspired by the tabletop roleplaying game Adeptus Evangelion. I'll be using it as a guide for the Evas' traits and characteristics, their loadout, and some of the encounters, but the actual gameplay will be freeform. Oh, and I'll be rolling your synch ratios. Name: Jane Shephard Age: 15 Pilot Background: Prodigy: Prodigies are pilots that have only recently been tapped. They lack the extensive training of most other pilots, but maintain a synch ratio well above normal. Pilot Bio: Born in Nottingham in the east midlands of England. Her mother was transferred to London-4 as a scientist 1 month after Jane's birth and only 3 weeks before second impact. Her mother still works as a 'manufacturer' and her dad works in evangelion engineering. Jane had as normal a childhood as she could have but showed keen interest in both her father and mothers work.
Name: Adam Summers Age: 15 Pilot Background: Prodigy Pilot Bio: Born in Australia a week before Second Impact. In the aftermath of the flooding, his family moved from what was once Melbourne to the Kanji Islands, which were once highlands in Japan. When he was 14, an Angel attack killed his parents, and an rescue team brought him to the London Four Evangelion Base. He trained extensively in VR Simulators, testing new weapons for NERV in standard Evas. As a result, he knows much of many types of weapon systems and combat maneuvers. He still waits for the day where he can fly his own Eva.
