Hey Everypony, A Jewel of Rarity here You may have noticed that Everypony has recently gotten a fresh new coat of paint. Recently I was asked to come on board to help develop new themes for Everypony and what I like to do is keep people updated on the development rather than random themes just popping up and you don't know why or when it has happened. To start of my first idea was to get themes on all four seasons, It had always bugged me that there was only a spring theme and no other season. I have already Updated the Spring theme for the new UI.X Style Framework and finished the second season theme that is Autumn so try them out and feel free to give constructive criticism on them so I can improve the themes and future ones to come. Theme Checklist Everypony Spring: Spoiler: Done Everypony Autumn: Spoiler: Done Everypony Winter: In Planning Everypony Summer: In Planning The rest of the theme ideas currently in planning are either character based and location based. The Hive: Spoiler: 70% Cloudsdale (Taken directly from my old forum Cloudsdale gathering) Spoiler: Done ignore any ything not the bakcground I now use a widescreen monitor this is a downside to the monitor size I am someone that loves community interaction so I will also be willing to take suggestions or concepts depending on their quality and if they will turn out good. Below will be all community suggestions Luna/Celestia time sensitive: In Planning Simple/Smooth Mobile Theme: In Planning Just to note any suggestions that are taken on will be put in the back of the queue and not worked on as often.
Most up to date browsers like Chrome, Firefox and yes even Microsoft Edge... Run the UI.X framework quite smoothly with a tad longer loading like an extra second or two, I'd say its worth the extra second or two for the more appealing styles. The fault is due to Nintendo being terrible with browsers. The wii u browser is quite a step up from the 3DS but it is still no where near as optimized as the more commonly used PC browsers. I'd say stick to using Classic on Wii U, unless we find a way to improve performance.
I'm loving the Autumn theme and I cannot wait for the winter and summer themes~ The hive one sounds promising too~ A changeling queen needs her hive after all~
Winter and summer themes will come out probably around December. Having the two opposite seasons come out together seems like a neat idea Already did it with Spring and Autumn.
Luna and Celestia themes for daytime and nighttime browsing. No sure if it's actually possible, but it'd be really cool to have one theme that switches from Celestia to Luna depending on the time of day.
I do have the base colours for a villains theme if you ever want it ((As well as a decent-ly-kinda-ish banner for a villains theme). I really, really do love the new Spring theme though (I know I've already mentioned this...but it's just so much of an improvement! Um..not saying that the old was was bad...or anything. Just a nice change.)
I don't see it. It isn't in the Style Chooser. Also, the default theme, now crashes my phone's browser when I try to use my phone to check the site on the go, is that fixable? Also my tablet doesn't handle the ULX framework very well at all.
There is simply not much that can be done about your tablet being unable to handle the framework, I'd suggest continuing to use the classic Everypony theme for your pony browsing needs.
Hi there I'd like to let everyone know that 2 themes should be coming soon Now that a few errors have been fixed I can finally port over the cloudsdale theme used on my old forum, I just need to design a new logo which will be done when the new ponies are to be added. The second theme will be an alternate version of the Autumn theme to remember our fallen member Maple I have no picture to share as it is currently in planning but it will feature a more red-ish color scheme instead of orange with red maple leaves in the background. I would like to remind any beta testers that they have access to the themes in development at anytime.
To avoid complications with themes I'll be cleaning up my webserver and moving any theme assets there so I don't have to bother tyro to upload files. This will not affect the forum experaince but images may fail to load as I move them around. I hope to get this done by today so I can start work on Everypony Autumn - Maple
