So this idea came to me after coming back from Thorpe park. For all you non Brits this is the thrill capital of the UK. With rides such as Colosus and Nemisis Inferno (as seen on The Inbetweeners). Most of the rides were awesome although I got knocked about alot as my shoulders were quite far from the top of the harness; I am also skinny meaning I was buffeted up, down, forward and back. With my feet being lifted from the cart quite a bit. Anyway what about your experiences with theme parks and which is your favorite. This is the place to talk about it. thorpe park official website Some On ride POV's: Spoiler: Colossus Spoiler: The Swarm Spoiler: Nemisis inferno and Inbetweeners
Goliath. At the age of 7. Back when Goliath was the tallest roller coaster with the most G-force. Forced on by father. I didn't touch another roller coaster again for 13 years. And even then... I'm good with the nice little collar coasters that don't have loops or aren't that far off the ground. ;____; *jumps into the arms of closest person, much like Scooby does to Shaggy* Roes rorrercoasters are scarryy
Ooooh, I love theme parks! I quite enjoyed Heide Park, Hamburg. It's the location of the best wooden coaster I have tried: I may be in love with Piraten (the Pirate) of Djurs Sommerland. It doesn't look like much in the POV videos, but dang, it's my kind of thrill. The surroundings are fairly bare in the video, as they has just started developing their pirate section at the time. It looks better now. Oh, and as a person who has worked in an amusement park, here is a public PSA: The restrictions are there for your safety. Please do not throw a fit if you are not able to ride, bring your bag or whatever. And for crying out loud, secure your belongings - don't just throw them in open pockets. EDIT: Here's a cute one:
YOU. I LIKE YOU. We can keep our feet on the ground and eat cotton candy together while everyone else is crazy <.< >.> yes
I've only been to 3 theme parks abroad (Disney land Paris, phantasialand near cologne Germany and efteling in holland) when I went to phantasialand it was with school during the Christmas market in cologne so as it was winter there was snow EVERYWHERE. So because of this the parks best and main roller coaster (black mamba) was closed due to the coldness creating icicles off the track. I've never gone back there and probably never will. Also at Efteling the Dutch had no sense of queuing they just walked passed.
My favorite theme parks are the kinds of places where I don't have to ride a damn thing. Like Sea World. Yes please.
Love theme parks! Ya, my favourite's Thorpe park, so far. It's got some super-awesome rides, like The Swarm and Colossus. I didn't get to ride Stealth, the que's always too long... xP Heh, can't wait to ride that new Smiler in Alton Towers, it looks pretty good
Disney's Animal Kingdom is my paradise. I refuse to go on anything with a loop. I've never done it, but I know I would die, so nope! It took me 9 years to muster up the courage to go on the Tower of Terror and I needed a hour with a cookie and a Sprite to calm down afterwards.
