From Normandy to Helmand Province Afghanistan, I shall remember those that served on this Day of Days and those there after.

I just wanted to post this up, it's short simple and to the point. The reason I did it today is because today is the anniversary of D-Day and I couldn't think of a better time to post it up. Please if you have nothing good to say about this then I would ask you to simply not post below, I am just stating this here and now. Have a nice day!

Well, personally I tend to lean toward the pacifist view. However, I do salute those who fought for being brave enough to even go out there. That takes some serious guts.

My grandfather served in WWII. He was a blimp pilot with the job of spotting enemy subs in the Pacific. I remember him telling me stories of watching his fellow mates in nearby blimps be shot down. Blimps are Dirigibles are extremely slow and were easy targets. Must have been a horrible and terrifying experience.

I have naught but respect for those who go out and risk their lives in service of our protection. They may not be perfect, but theirs is a job few envy and carries a price that even fewer wish to pay.

Condolences for those lost, may they never be forgotten.
