As in the title, I've been thinking a sort of 'Trophy Room' for threads could be cool to have.
An archive filled with only the very greatest of Everypony.com threads.

What does and doesn't make the cut would simply be decided the Everypony community, if enough support is shown a thread will get in.

So that's it really. It's just a place to gather the greatest moments here.

    Thoughts? Suggestions?

It'd be like a global sticky list, right?
I think the idea has some merit, it'd need a clear class of what qualifies/doesn't though.

Sounds like an alright idea. But what threads are worthy enough to go in this sacred place? Is it more for funny threads or interesting threads?

I would say any kind of well-ended thread as long as it was memorable.

I believe forums that do this have a section called 'Thread Archive' for dead but very popular and interesting threads

So I take it this would function like the Highlights section of the Blogs? Could prove interesting.

We have got the option to rate threads. This could decide whether a thread is worthy. However, this could easily be abused like the rep system.

Is there currently a way to view the ratings of a thread?

Firstly, sorry for the late reply I've just come back from a weekend camping trip.

    Thanks, and yeah I agree.

Funny is fine, but I think it needs to be more then 'just funny'. I think what qualifies a thread needs to be quite strict.

Yup, I got the idea from another forum, although theirs was almost exclusively funny threads.

Not really a blog person myself, so I guess so? :deep:

Yeah I'm hesitant to use a voting system, although in doing so it makes things a little hard.

Give me a little time and I'll see what I can think of.
