(yeah, I'm no good at thread titles, at least most of the time. ) As you can see I've called myself sparkleshyguy85 (the last bit's just my birth year; I've put it in there because it rhymes nicely with shy and guy ). I'm a bit of a cross between Twilight Sparkle and Fluttershy with a dash (pun!) of what fans have attributed to derpy (aka utter clumsiness, and on some days, epic derp). No avatar (I'd like to have something personalised but I'm hopeless with gimp, inkscape or photoshop (the latter of which I *wish* I could afford ). Anyway, I'm usually pretty friendly, and discovered the show from somewhere over than the chans (which I've never actually visited for any extended period of time, which is amazing given I've been online regularly since 1998). I'll leave it there as I can't think of anything more to add right now. I look forward to my time around here. EDIT: Actually, just remembered something... has anypony else noticed this subforum's name is "Intoductions, not IntRoductions? I'm sorry to point such a thing out, but it just jumped out a me.
Hey there and welcome to our little corner of the internet! Mind if I call you Sparkle? lol XD Also, yay, Derpy. I can relate on that too, which is why... I am Derpy! No worries about the image software, I'm not the greatest with them myself. And they take a bit of getting used to. Photoshop especially has a decently large learning curb. So it just takes time with them to familiarize yourself with'em. Praise yours truly, Derpy of course and all the other ponies. Have a muffin! Nom nom. And I had not actually even noticed that until you pointed it out. In all the time I've spent here I've not noticed that about the "Intoductions". lol Good spotting. Anyway, I hope you enjoy it here.

Twilight Sparkle's probably the character I most identify with in the series, although I wouldn't call myself even remotely organised, but I can totally understand the place where she's coming from. I love the sig btw. Would that make the mail that derpy handles quantum mail*? *This is a bad science joke. Ask your nearest physics major for the explanation.

Hi sparkleshyguy85, and welcome to the site! Nice catch on the misspelled section. Yeah, those darn photomanip programs can be tough. I mostly downloaded gimp so I could add a cutie mark to the pony I made in one of the pony creators online. Haven't tried messing with it since then. I'm familiar with it, since it resembles a Photoshop layout. Helps that I took a class for Photoshop in high school lol. Hope you enjoy your time on here, and have a good one!

Hey there, sparkleshyguy85! Nice to see another member close to my age. Actually, you and I are the same age (in years) at the moment, even though you're technically older than me (I was born in '86). I see we have some things in common as well. I'd consider myself a cross between Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle with perhaps a pinch (also a pun, I suppose) of Pinkie Pie (I can be and have been called "random" before IRL). As for that typo, yeah, I noticed that too! I was just too timid to say anything, I guess. Oh well, good job at pointing it out! I look forward to seeing more of your posts around here!
Thanks for the welcome everypony . The likeness with Sparkle in my case is actually a bit closer IRL than I realised. I'm EXACTLY like her when she gets excited ( the whole. Yes! Yesyesyesyes thing is EXACTLY the kind of thing I'd do, and the reaction when I realise I've been noticed would be similar. It's possible I'm overanalysing this. Was surprised to see the subforum title fixed so quickly!
The likeness with Twilight in my case is her need for a logical explanation for things, just like with Pinkie Pie's Pinkie Sense. I tend not to believe something unless it can be proven with science, at least most of the time. Now you've explained a case where your part Twilight Sparkle. How about Fluttershy?

I'd totally not thought about that part, there's that as well that I have in common with Sparkle. I'm pretty much the same, if there's a substantial claim being made, I like evidence to be presented. With Fluttershy it's mostly just the EXTREME shyness. I get nervous about things most people take in their stride. Really stupid things like calling to make doctor's appointment Yeah, it's not as strong a link, I'll admit.
You may not believe this, but I understand that part completely about phone calls. I hate making important phone calls. I sometimes get fluttershies in my stomach before I do and have to just tell myself to go for it. Especially if it's a super-important thing like a call for a job interview or something like that. I've actually literally worried myself sick over it. Yet, other times I'll be completely fine. I guess it depends if there's some sort of familiarity with whom I'm calling. As for me, I'm a shy individual myself, but not to the extent that Fluttershy is. If someone approaches me, I won't be as timid as Fluttershy was with Twilight in the first episode, but I won't necessarily engage in a huge conversation either. I have to get to know someone better before I "come out of my shell" so to speak. Wait, did I just say "fluttershies in my stomach"? Heh. Butterflies.
