well, this songs. 1. raise this barn- catchy, fun. finally applejack gets a song 9/10 2. smile, smile, smile- so much fun, its the definition of fun 10/10 3. winter wrap up- a lot of voices, a great song, not my fav though 9/10 4. find a pet- sounds like them but put to a tune 6/10 5. the main theme- annoying 4/10

S1 songs ftw In no particular order: -Winter Wrap-Up -Art of the Dress 1+2 -At the Gala -Babs Seed All I'd rate 7/10 or better. And I'm probably one of very few who doesn't like Smile, Smile, Smile.

It was hard for me to decide for first, so I just tied them 1. Winter Wrap Up, Find a Pet 2. Love is in Bloom 3. At the Gala 4. Raise This Barn(making sheet music for it right now) And, while it didn't really fit as an complete song, Flutterguy's Evil Enchantress was awesome.
Yaplap version is best version. I don't really like any particular song, but i don't really hate any either. (except for Raise this barn. I really hate that one)
Top Ten... 1) Smile, Smile, Smile (An utterly joyous, beautifully delivered, beautifully animated song sequence) 2) This Day Aria and reprise (Chilling, iconic, and utterly unlike any other song in the show) 3) Art of the Dress parts 1 and 2 (Both a perfect homage to the classic "Putting it Together" and a great original song in its own right) 4) At the Gala (Another great Sondheim homage. I love how this song captures the hopes and expectations of the characters) 5) The Flim Flam Brothers (A hilarious song that perfectly captures the personality of these charlatans. Yet another homage to a famous musical. I like that this song showcases male voices for once) 6) May the Best Pet Win (Not sure why, but I just love this song. Especially these lines: 'Not just any squirrel/A FLYING squirrel' 7) Opening theme (I really like this song. It serves as a perfect bridge from the classic to the modern My Little Pony) 8) Babs Seed (A song I've really warmed up to. Just plain adorable, and a good exploration of how helpless and confused the CMC feel about Babs' sudden switch toward bullying) 9) The Failure Song and reprise (Such a negative title, but I liked how Twilight expressed her doubts about the herculean task set for her by Celestia. I adore how the reprise is essentially a thematic answer to the doubts of the original song) 10) B.B.B.F.F. and reprise (Great introduction to the Twilight/Shining Armor relationship with a very catchy tune. Reprise is utterly heartbreaking, though)
My favourite by a long shot is Smile, Smile, Smile. If anyone needs guitar chords, let me know. I has. All the rest kinda fall into the same 2nd place.
The fact that I thought the songs were catchy and really enjoyable on top of the fact the show was crazier, funnier and all around different than the My Little Pony shows and movies of the past is why I became a brony during summer 2011.
