Name: Shaun Cage Age: 20 Gender: Male Appearance: Short White Hair, normally wearing Black Jeans and a Blue T-Shirt with 'No Risk, No Reward' on the back. Wrestling Attire: Black Tights with 'CAGE' in light blue letters going down his right leg. Wears a blue(same color as 'CAGE' tank top Occupation: Developmental Talent in a Major US Wrestling Fed(If you want to call it WWE and make it NXT we can do that.) Style of Wrestling: Lucha/High-Flying/Extreme Wrestling History: Wrestled around the world, mostly doing US Indy work until he was called up. Personality: Still a young rookie, he's surprised that he's here, a bit taken aback. He's happy to be here and wants to prove what he is. He supports those whoa re bullied and gives much to charity, but also his family. Personality: Friendly and kind, Damion is a good man at heart, being friends with most people. But when he is in the ring, or performing for the crowd in and outside, he becomes ruthless, completely funny, and comical, doing some of the weirdest stuff people would question "sanity" ------------------------------------- The doors could be heard opening and shutting, and man with a Dallas Cowboys hat on as well as the Jersey. He would enter the ring, getting over the third ropes with no problem, he would walk up to the new guy (From what I read in you post, I thought you were new), holding a hand out, "Its good to see some fresh meat for the bakery."
((Oh, he's new, and yeah, I know I'm the DM )) Shaun rubbed the back of his neck, as he shook the man's hand, giving a small chuckle. "It's that obvious? I thought I was keeping a decent lid on it, considering everything. It's still... pretty amazing to be here, though. In the top company." He stopped shaking Daimon's hand, blinking a bit as he realized who the man was. "Wait... Aren't you... Damion Quake?"
"Yes sir I am, and I am supposing you are Shaun, correct?" Damion asked wit his arms crossed. He looked pretty buff, but not like those guys who go at it 24/7.
"Yes, I'm Shaun Cage. It's amazing to meet you. I didn't know that main roster talents came to check out NXT." Shaun gave a small nod. He'd always been the 'cruiserweight' typical appearance, but he was starting to show a bit more muscle then he did on the independent scene, because of the training that NXT was putting him through. Nothing too crazy, of course.
"Yeah, they normally do. So your here for the good ol' rundown eh? Well, we are going to wait for the manager." Damion would say, strething his arms. (I'll leave the manager to you.)
((Since we're doing canon, haha, I got a plan.)) "Manager, right. The basics." The NXT General Manager, William Regal walked out from backstage, walking down to the ring. Shaun took a deep breath, trying to hide his inner wrestling nerd the best that he could. Regal talked to a nearby cameraman, offering some knowledge, before getting into the ring. "Mr. Quake, hello. Mr.... Cage, I believe, right?" "Uh, yes sir, the rookie." "I'm sure I don't have to give you the speech, Mr. Quake, considering you already heard it."
"Yeah, you had the hardest time giving me the speech, I kept spacing out," Damion would chuckle, speaking to both Cage and Regal.
"Yes, I had to stop every so often to make sure you were paying attention." Shaun chuckled a bit, but then quieted down to listen to Regal. "Now, Mr. Cage, I'm going to go over the basics. This is the WWE, the big time, whatever you've done previously doesn't matter to this company. We're here to help you learn our way of doing things. There is a difference between the style of an international traveled wrestler, such as yourself, and the style of a WWE wrestler. We play to the cameras, play to the crowd. Wrestling is still an important part, but getting the crowd invested in your character is even more important." Shaun nodded as he listened to Regal.
Damion sighed, looking all around. He was not into the whole speech deal, then again he never really bothered to even lend an ear.
"This is a company where you have to work hard and earn your opportunities. You won't just be handed things here. You work hard and do well on NXT, you'll get that main roster spot in no time. Do I make myself clear, Mr. Cage?" Shaun gave a couple nods. "Crystal, sir."
"Well now that we have that cleared up ladies, what you need me for Regal?" Damion asked of great curiosity, crossing his arms and leaning against the ropes.
"Well, I called you here for one reason. It's actually about Mr. Cage's debut. He's going to be in a tag team match, however, his partner is injured, leaving us pretty strapped for a replacement. So, I need you to tag team with him." Shaun blinked a bit, at the situation, he was going to be debuting tonight? He was a bit shocked that he was going to be debuting so soon. ----------------- ((Man stuff like this makes me want to do a massive wrestling rp, hahaha, but I'm sure there's no interest in it.))
Damion would sigh, "And here I thought I had the night off, but I guess that deal is off now. Oh well, its not like you wanted that damn chocolate fountain you've been complaining about NOT having since it came out," This was the main problem, Regal would complain about some things, the most insignificant things he calls Important. The Chocolate fountain was something Damion was going to give him, but, being the complete smart ass he is, he'll just keep it for himself now. Now that the deal was off, Damion just did not care anymore, "Yeah, I'll be your tag team partner for tonight. Stab me in the back, I will snap your neck like a Kit-Kat."
"If a certain someone wouldn't have injured their shoulder while training earlier today, we wouldn't be having this conversation right now." Shaun was a bit nervous at Damion's statement. "Right, yeah, okay. I got it. No betrayals."
"Alright, we good, great!" He would say, jumping down form the ring and starting for the door, "I'm out of here, I need to rest for a bit." And like that, he left.
Shaun took a look at Regal, and rubbed the back of his neck. "Does... he just not to tag with me?" "Don't worry about it, he'll come around. Now, I heard you also had a new finishing move you just made up in store. I'd like to see it." "You sure that I shouldn't go back there?" Regal shook his head at Shaun. "Sometimes people are best left alone for the time being." Shaun nodded, as he climbed up to the top turnbuckle, taking a deep breath.He'd been practicing this new finishing move all month.
Walking into the lounge, Damion would sit down, popping open a can of Monster Assault. He had been very frustrated lately, with the other wrestlers telling him to, "Take it easy out there," or, "Do not hit too hard." It pissed him off, no one in this damn place went hard during a wrestling match, this was not like WWF Monday Night RAW where everybody took chances by the bodies. As of today, people were too careful, about not loosing their jobs or breaking a bone or doing some death defying move. People were pussified as of today. Damion leaned back in his chair, watching something on his cell phone.
Shaun looked at Regal, as he nodded, standing fully erect, then jumping off, holding his legs as he did a backflip. For a few moments, it looked like he was going for a shooting star press, but then he turned around for another backflip, something few people could do. He let go of his legs to make the final half of the flip. He started positioning himself, colliding with the mat, finishing the double Shooting Star Press. After the collision he rolled over onto his back, getting up to his feet. Partly inspired by some of the crazy stuff he'd seen in his travels to Mexico and Japan. "The contact takes a while to get used to. What are your thoughts, Mr. Regal?" "I can tell you just started doing it, but apart from a few movements, you pretty much have the important thing down. You pull off the double rotation. The only thing is I would watch your arm position, making sure it's level as can be when you're positioning."
Heading back to the ring with his Dr. Pepper, Damion walked through the doors, a look of casualness on his face.
