Flutters woke up with an huge migraine. She recalls what happened the other night. What she planned to be something special turned into disaster due to Nightmares idea of hilarious. Flutters shakes her head and starts to think. *Why would Eris want to do anything with Nightmare?* While deep in thought, she smelled something delicious coming from downstairs.

Flutters get up and heads downstairs to see Eris cooking. Blushing, she recalls how Eris made it up to her last night. She stood there watching Eris for a couple minutes before she said anything.

"Hi" says Flutters, "it smells good."

 

"Oh good!" Eris said, turning around. "You're up! You looked so peaceful, I didn't want to disturb you."

She blushed and looked at the pan. "It's only pancakes I'm afraid, not much considering what I put you through,"
She still felt terrible about what had happened. She hadn't meant anything by it, but she should have been more thoughtful.

"There's a fresh pot of coffee too," she added, pointing with her spatula.

 

Flutters grabs a cup from the cupboard and pours some coffee. Walks to where the sugar and cream is and pours that into the coffee. "It's okay. I forgave you so don't put yourself down" says Flutters. She puts the coffee down after taking a sip.

She walks towards Eris. Brings up her hoof to turn Eris face to hers. "I'm serious. Yes I am still hurt but it's gonna be okay." Gives Eris a kiss and moves away so Eris can finish cooking. Flutters walks to grab the paper and comes back. She sits down and starts to look at the articles in Pony Times.

 

"Hujabuwha..." Eris stood there dopily for a moment; it was silly, considering all the stuff they'd done together, but simple kisses like that alway got Eris the most. She only snapped out of it when she realised the pancakes were burning.

"Oh, picklebarrel!" She exclaimed, and glared at the pan until the mixture magically un-burned itself. She flipped them, then when they were ready, put them on a plate, got the syrup from the cupboard, the bowl of fruit from the fridge, and put it all on the table. She poured herself a black coffee before sitting down. "So, um... anything interesting happening?" She asked, looking at the paper Flutters was reading.

(How did I know Flutters would take her coffee sweet and white? x3)

 

"Not really" Flutters says, "just something about a country fair going on this weekend." She thought it would be fun to go and spend time with everyone. "Did you want to go?"

Flutters grabs some of the pancakes and fruit. Pours some syrup on the pancakes and starts eating away. It was then when she looked at Eris and noticed her reaction.

(Haha thats how I drink my coffee)

 

Eris thought for a moment. "Hmm... maybe. I do like the balloon animals."

She carefully built her pancakes and fruit into a little house, then grinned mischievously and started demolishing it bite by bite.

(I just take it black. I think it's because I used to work in a cafe, and adding anything else to it brings back memories of trying to fulfil ridiculous coffee orders for people )

 

After eating all her pancakes, Flutters gets up to put the dishes in the sink. "Well its totally up to you" she says, "I'm gonna jump in the shower and get ready for work." Gives a kiss to Eris on the forehead before heading upstairs.

Once in the shower, Flutters closed her eyes for a minute and let the water run down her body. She kept thinking about if Eris was really happy with her. She shock her head and started to wash for hair and body. Jumps out after a couple minutes, wrapping herself in a towel. Flutters heads to the bedroom to find something to wear. She finally found something to wear and quickly dried herself and threw the clothes on.

A few minutes later, Flutters is walking down the stairs and grabs her bag. She opens the front door that was right by her bag. "I'll see you in a few hours. Love you!" she says while closing the door. Flutters sighed once it was closed. Hastily she started walking once she realized she was going to be late to work.

 

"Love you too!" Eris called after her. She sighed. She knew it was silly, but she was always a little sad when Fluttershy left, even when she knew she was coming back.

She put the last few dishes in the sink and threw in the brush, which started cleaning them by itself. She decided to spend the next few hours finally building the squirrel house she'd promised Fluttershy ages ago.

She didn't have to use tools, like a pony would, but her chaotic nature lead to the house having to go through several incarnations before it was suitable; at one point it had a hot tub, a fully stocked armoury, and kept slowly rotating, but had no door. Eventually though, she got it right, and it felt good to be making something for someone else for a change, especially someone who meant as much to her as Fluttershy. She just hoped she'd like it...

 

While at work, Flutters kept thinking and thinking until some pony tapped her. "Oh...I-I'm sorry" she says, "what can I do for you?" The pony was talking and Flutters was typing away on the computer. Printed out a document and handed it to the pony. "Enjoy your day!" This pretty much went on for another 3 hours. She would zone out and some pony always had to get her attention.

Finally it was time to go. Flutters got her stuff together and put them in the bag. Got up and walked to clock out. She overheard some of her co-workers talking about her and her 'lover'. She shook her head and just walked out. "Why are ponies so mean and hateful?" she thought.

Once she was home, she felt relieved. She called out to Eris but there was no answer. Flutters thought that was a little odd but then thought Eris went to the store or something. She layed on the couch and closed her eyes, almost falling asleep until she heard a bang. She jumped up and went to see what happen.

(Flutters would love a hot tub)

 

Eris blushed a little with embarrassment as Fluttershy came running out. She'd wanted it to be a surprise, but the rope holding the squirrel house up in the tree had snapped, and now the whole thing was lying in a smashed heap on the ground. The squirrels were thankfully all ok, but were standing around the wrecked house looking very cross.

"I'm sorry Fluttershy," Eris said, sheepishly. "I guess I'm not very good at building things..."

 

Flutters looked at Eris then the squirrels then the broken house for them then back at Eris. She starts laughing and says "its okay. We can build it together. Have to go back into town and get more supplies."

She kneels in front of the squirrels and says "Are you alright? Don't worry. You'll have another home in a bit." Flutters pets them and gets up. "You know while we are there do you want to get dinner too?"

 

Eris nodded. "Sounds like a plan!" She didn't really need to go to the store; she could conjure up anything they needed, but she enjoyed doing things like that with Fluttershy, it made her feel more... normal.

"So how was your day?" She asked, giving Fluttershy a hug, before they headed inside to get ready.

 

Flutters hugs and kisses Eris before saying "it..it was okay." She looks down while walking into the house. "How was your day? I bet it took a lot out of you to build the house huh?" She laughed.

 

Eris shrugged. "Mostly only because it kept trying to walk off. You know how the things I make can be. I'm getting better at it though, I think; at least nothing exploded this time."

She put a paw on Fluttershy's shoulder and looked at her with concern, feeling like maybe there was something she wasn't telling her. "Only okay?"

 

"Yeah you are getting better" Flutters says, "It's a long story and I don't want to cause any problems with ponies." She didn't know how to tell her that Nightmare decided to show the pictures of them the other night to ponies. She knew if she did say something Eris would do something crazy.

 

"Fluttershy, I love you, but you need to learn to put yourself first sometimes," Eris said, gently, "Now what is it?"

 

"I love you too! It's just..well..while leaving work I heard co-workers talking about me...well actually us." Flutters says while looking down. "They said they couldn't believe I was with you. One pony said Nightmare showed her the pictures of us the night and showed the other ponies" she says while tears forming in her eyes, "Nightmare lied to us! She said she wasn't paying attention! I knew it that's why I said I hate her."

 

"I see..." It looked like Eris would have to go and have a word with Nightmare, and possibly these other ponies too...

She led Fluttershy over to the sofa and cuddled her close. "It'll be ok," She said, wiping away Flutters' tears with the end of her tail. "I'll talk to Nightmare about the pictures, and as for the other ponies, well you know they're just jealous!"
