Hey, so I'm doing this new thing. Ever heard of indiegogo.com? Or kickstarter? Or rockethub? Well, I have one daughter, Lizzie. She's turning 3 in July and she love, love, loves My Little Pony. Her favorite varies from day to day, but usually it's Rarity. So, my husband and I planned this epic birthday party for her. You have to understand, she's the only child, and I haven't been able to do a real birthday party for her yet because she was too young to care. But now, she'll care! So we planned this party. Balloons in the colors of the ponies bodies with ribbons in the colors of their manes and tails, decorations around the tables in the colors of the ponies. A Rarity themed birthday cake (tiered, made with fondant which I spent a great deal of time researching and practicing with). A darling tutu-dress made in Rarity's colors for Lizzie to wear as the birthday girl! Birthday hats or maybe crowns for each child in various pony colors. Gift bags with the Mane 6's cutie marks attached to them and pony related goodies inside. I also am hoping to make her the Mane 6 pony plushies for her to snuggle with whenever she gets lonely, but that's expensive and I don't quite have everything I need for them. We wanted to set them around the venue in places where they will be in their element. Pinkie Pie will be right in the action, of course. Twilight will probably be in the library. Rainbow Dash will be "flying" near the trees. There's so many options! Then there's the invitations... my favorite part! We had planned on doing an invitation to the "Grand Galloping Gala" (see season 1 finale of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic). Included in the invitations were going to be gold paper tickets embossed to look royal and pony-like. Then the games, Pin the Tail on the Pony, a My Little Pony hot air balloon pinata! We were so excited! But then my husband called me one morning from work. He'd just been laid off. Now, this isn't something I normally do. In fact, I've never done this before. But my daughter will be so excited if we can make this party the way we wanted to! If you would like to help make this possible, please go to: URL removed and donate! There are rewards!! Wow. All the ideas are amazing! I would love to donate, but sadly I'm broke. I don't think my parents would like me donating money to stranger to fund a birth-day party either. But I do hope you get enough money to pull this off! Wow. the economy these days. I hope your husband finds another job soon!
I would love a plush...But, I've made too many large-ish pony-related expenditures lately. I may give a little bit though.
I tried donating, but i don't have a credit card, and as usual, my Paypal account never seems to work for anything.
I really hate to do this since it seems like it has good intentions, but advertisement of -any- sort is strictly forbidden. I'm going to lock this thread. I'm sorry.
