Name's Ignis, and i've just started to watch the episodes from 28th of september. I've seen part of season 1 (up to episode 21), And i like it.
The only thing i didnt really like about MLP was the ending of Ep 2, wich i found a bit too "Happy", But still, i love everything else about it so far.

Major problem is it feels kind of weird to me, being a brony. Don't know if it's the large Hater group, or just the idea of talking about it IRL. i do have to add that
i'm a pretty timid guy by nature, so it has never really been easy to stand up for myself.

so yeah, except myself no one knows about this, and i ain't planning on sharing anywhere in the near future.

So i thought i could find some fellow bronies here who have (or had) the same problem. :p

TL:DR Hi, i'm Ignis, i'm an insecure brony

Don't worry, you're not alone. A lot of people here are even more insecure than you, yet the sense of community and pride the people here install in you will change that. Haters gon' hate, potatoes gon' potate.

Welcome to EveryPony Ignis, I'm Lupr, and be sure to check out everything this place has to offer, including the radio and the fan fiction section.

    Glad to have you here.

    You're among good friends here!

Welcome to Everypony! I'm just as...insecure as you are when it comes to being a brony in public. However, this place is the friendliest spot on the Internet. I hope you enjoy your stay here and make lots of friends! See you around! ~Zephyr Wind

By the way, you can edit all replies into one single post. Double posting is something you want to avoid. In fact, if you'd like to take a peek through the rules and faq, I can guarentee you'll settle in here within no time. Look forward to seeing you around, dude.

Hi Ignis! i am SkyRaze, welcome to everpony! i am a bit insecure as well, but i have learned to respect my love for my little pony. if you want to know someone who has no care for anything people say, talk to setzer trancer, he walks around in public with a fluttershy t-shirt. he is amazing!

Hi there, Ignis! Welcome to Everypony! I hope you enjoy your stay with us!

Don't worry, I share some of the same issues you do. I've never told anyone about it IRL, and I don't plan to unless, by some chance, I hear someone else talk about it. What are the odds of that anyway? I'd say 1 in a billion or something like that— okay, maybe not that bad, but you get my point. I used to feel weird about being a brony too. It took me a little over a month to finally come to terms with it and accept the term "brony." I still don't go around IRL talking about it at all though. Although, lately I've been a little more gutsy at my university by having a YouTube tab open with pony music playing. No one can hear it because I have my earbuds plugged in, but if someone were to walk by, they'd see it.

A part of me wants to get "caught," but then I'd be afraid of what their reaction would be. I'd like to think that the students I'm surrounded by are open-minded individuals and wouldn't care too much. I saw a guy wearing an Adventure Time shirt about a week ago, and I saw another guy watching Animaniacs on his computer, and saw another guy watching a Spider Man cartoon on another computer. I don't know if that would imply that since they're watching some of these cartoons, that they'd be open-minded or heard of MLP:FiM, only by a consequence of being interested in these animated cartoons. Possibly, possibly not. I'm the cautious type so I don't risk it usually, except for the example I already provided.

It would be one of the greatest things to "catch" someone watching MLP on their terminal in the computer lab. Then I'd definitely approach them and give them a brohoof. Speaking of which, whenever anyone brofists me I automatically think of brohoof, hah. I'm also fairly passive (with a few exceptions) and don't talk that much IRL, so that doesn't do me any favors.

Anyway, sorry about all that. I figured I'd share how I can relate to your situation. I joined this site so I can have some people to talk to about this great show. I also learned that not only is the show great, but so is the community. So I really hope you decide to stick around and make a lot of friends here.

    Once again, welcome! :)
