Hey, everypony! I've never been one to partake in forums but I just had to join somwhere that had similar minded people (ponies? Bronies? I don't know which to use..) Anyway, I should probably give some background(Sorry if I end up writing too much). My name is Zephyr Wind, and I'm a recently converted brony. I'm an eighteen year old guy just about to start college-so why am I watching this show? I hadn't really heard of this pony craze until about a month ago and I swore I'd never let myself watch a show that I was sure a bunch of trolls were using to annoy people. Dear Celestia, I was wrong. My fortitude to avoid the show broke and I watched the first episode. What followed were the most conflicting feelings I've ever felt. A mix of joy, embarassment, shock, and awe over the fact that I was watching a show based on a girl's toy. I did frantic research into the show and learned of Lauren Faust's involvement and her views on why she made the show. I also found out about the enormous number of people who loved the show.The sheer number of fanfic, artworks, and music remixes left me stunned. Well, one thing came to another, I just said to myself "screw it!" and jumped in. The sheer number of fanfic, artworks, and music remixes left me stunned. So now I'm here. I've watched every episode, except for The Best Night Ever, listened to some youtube commentaries and whole lotta remixes and I've read some fanfics, all in a few short weeks. I hope that I will get to know some of you and that I can discuss my new love with you all! I may have no talent when it comes to writing, drawing, or making videos, but I can appreciate the works of those who do Oh, and I almost forgot, here's a list of the mane six, from my favorite to my least favorite: 1. Fluttershy (She is soooooo adorable and I identify with her the most. We both love animals and are quite shy.) 2. Pinkie Pie (I don't remember laughing so hard at any cartoon as I have whenever she appears. She is joy incarnate, although I like her with straight hair.) 3. Applejack/Rarity (I don't know what it is about Applejack that makes me like her so much, and Rarity has really developed as a character since I first saw her. I can't decide who is better so they are equally my third favorite) 4. Twilight Sparkle ( I have nothing against Twilight. She's makes for a good main character and I like her personality, just niot as much as the others) 5. Rainbow Dash ( Ok, this needs some explaining that will go on for far too long. Is there a character discussion thread around here, because I want to tell you guys why I have such conflicting thoughts on this one, ranging from absolute hatred to absolute love) So that's about it! I really am looking forward to being here and thanks again for putting up with all I had to say!

I know how you feel not being able to draw, write, or make music, but that's fine. Everypony around here accepts me for the way I am, and I can guarantee they'll accept you as well! :]
Before you enter this site, you need to ask yourself one question: What is your opinion on frontal.... Oh never-mind, welcome to the site! You say may say that now, but perhaps this is an opportunity to start a new hobby you've always wanted to try? I'm sure there's plenty of people here who'd be willing to teach you a thing or two no matter what it is you're interested in trying.

hmm, well I do have a small history of writing, but that was a long time ago in middle school. Some of the fanfics I've read are really impressive, so maybe I can try to write something (although no shipping, I'm not a big fan of that...) As a side note, I find it both funny and awesome that mostly everyone that's responded is a male pegasus!
Oh, sorry. Just going by the fact that Derpy, Stainless, Double Rainbow "Dash, and Second edition all have it on their Gender/ Species thing. I want to be friends with all ponies of every kind, I don't discriminate.

I can't decide to rate my favorites. If I had to rate, I'd put two in one ranking, so yeah RD is also my second favorite/third ^This.
First of all, that was a BEGINNER'S book. There's much better ones available. Such as nucleapo-- I should stop quoting my own books. Second, we can recharge enough energy fast enough to keep us (and 4 other ponies if you're not that skilled) being able to do that indefinitely, so your 3-day crap is null and void.
