Alrighty guys, I am sitting on top of a pile of requests and art in various stages of production. Also, many folks here at Everypony.com and EPR Chat have asked about what I can do, how I work and what I'm looking for in order to produce OCs and other Pony related art. I am therefore creating this thread as a readable log of my in-production and finalized images as well as submission guidelines to help me reliably create art that ends up looking the way you want it to. So, guidelines first: 1. Decide what you want. Pony one-shots are the pony and a small amount of scenery around them to establish where they are. For instance, Pegasi are likely to be perched on a cloud or in flight over Equestira, something like that. Full on images for Fics, plus backgrounds or thematic elements take longer to stage, compose and execute so, the larger the scope of your image, the more I will need out of you. Get a firm idea of what you want. 2. Collect reference material. If you just need a one-off and have a pony-generator of your OC, you are in business already. Send me that stuff and I can get right on it. Larger scoped images will require screen-caps and images of objects found in scene. The trick to this is -LEAVE AS LITTLE UP TO MY INTERPRETATION AS YOU CAN-. I am a creative person with flaws. If you really -REALLY- want that 14th century castle in the Background of your image, get me as many shots of that thing as you can. 3. Send me a PM with as simple a description as you can manage. Include the Ref Images. If I have to dig through a cauldron of alphabet soup to figure out what you want me to draw, I can do that. For speed's sake, since the coloring part is taking the longest at this time, boil down the description as best as you can. 4. Patience. Since I am not ready to use a Paypal account; everything is on spec, drawn between my shifts at a day-job that pays the bills and then colored in a reliable but time-consuming way. It's not unusual to turn out a single image in a day. I used to do that all the time with the Newbie Artist Training Grounds at Equestria Daily. It's just that is is also possible that I get mandatoried at the site and work a 12 or two back to back. Bear with me. I want to do this, I don't always get the opportunity to. Since you now know how to get the most out of me, here's how production goes: 1. Sketch - I roll this thing out best as I can think to based upon your description/refs. I submit it in the chat for the approval of yourself and others (unless you would have me do otherwise.) 2. Finalization - I put in all the details to show you -NEARLY- what it will look like when finished. This is the point of no return. If I get the go ahead at this stage, I won't make any edits unless something glaring was missed. (I'm human too.) 3. Finished Image - I ink and stink the drawing in Photoshop and drop it like a funky beat. *Edits are always possible since I never delete my PSDs. If I missed something, even at this level, and I can fix it without re-doing the image I will happily undertake mending the mistake.* The rest that will eventually get posted here should help establish who's next and what's on the table. I will also link to the images on Imageshack.us for everyone's convenience. Finished images will go in a separate post to help establish what's been done and show what you can expect from me. I've heard good words about you Virgil and frankly, from what ive seen, i like. Sadly I can see this thread is quite old, so I'm not sure if you are still here, but Ive been searching high and low for a good artist to draw my OC (that i cant draw). So if you are still puffing air on this forum, I would love to hear from you!

I figured it was dead, but on the small whim that he could possibly be on the forums I wanted to give it a shot. Its really no big deal. I just wanted to see if he was still here
