One of her friends was a boy with a black mane, a tan coat, and a cutie mark that resembled a violin clef. He had been shunned because of his looks until he met Flame they have been friends ever since. (I hope i understood this right)
Flame counted this boy as her best friend, since they was both out casts. It was sad really. But the two was very happy together. She was a blank for all they knew and Flame really didn't care what anypony though, she only cared for her best friend.
Her other friend was mystery to the others for he was unknown in town and came from far away and mainly stuck to himself. He found that Flame was a good friend and might need protection so devoted his life to protecting her, none knew his coloration for he always wore a black cloak and hood, but his eyes burned a bright spectral blue. (hope I did this right.)
Flame thought this was natural for him to wear this black cloak since they was shunned by all the other ponies. His eyes didn't bother her much, she liked his eyes after all. Flame would always hide behind Rashall when they would pass the 'normal' ponies. At first she didn't know if she could trust him since he came out of nowhere, but once she learned about him, she trusted him completely. So yes, the two was good friends. (You did it right)
