So, I recently finished my ponysona (See avatar) but now I'm presented with a problem. Ive never been good with pony names. I want to give my pony a fitting, unique name. Is there any chance any of you could help me? :3 it would be greatly appreciated. PS: Figured this is as good a thread as any to ask in, sorry! I'm new here. try this, take all the personalities or perks of your oc, find synonyms or things that are similar to it, put those words together and shorten it. my oc's name is skyraze. she is an amazing flyer who wants nothing more than to be in the skys, hence sky. she is also a war pony and her special ability to a balefire shockwave which razes the sky. well, looking he's engineer and all, how about something like: Steve Lighthoof ? btw, welcome to everypony ^.^
The picture is of a female, but you adress to them as a male On the helpful side, some sort of engineering surname might be in order, such as Bolts or System. My OC's surname is simply Flowers, as he is a florist. It doesn't always have to be something special or insane, and the simplest names sometimes look the best on a character.
If you're still looking for a name, I'd say: Gears Flintlock Gears mainly because he has two gears for a cutie mark, and he's an engineer. A flintlock is a complex mechanism, much like his personality, which is also quite reliable to use as it works almost always all the time without any problems. Voila, quite a steampunk name. *EDIT* 'Probably been mentioned, but wouldn't this thread be better off in the character discussion subforum or something similar?

Hmm....Daniel Gears? Milo...Stack? Protocol? Bolt? Servo? Loads of the ideas I came up with sound like Noir characters to me.
Thank you so much Everypony! I really like the idea of either Gears or Flintlock as a Surname. Now I'll leave it to myself to come up with a first name. Also, I appoligize for misplacing the thread. If I knew how to move it I would. Anywho.
