It seems like the site goes down too often, and having it go down twice in 24 hours, the latter time for a good part of the day seems unacceptable. I heard from Poetic that this was an attack, therefore, I propose, new and better anti attack software.
I doubt that this was a DDoS attack, since an SQL error. While this does not rule out an attack, but that isn't something once can fix with adding software. Stopping an SQL attack would require reprogramming the forum software.
There are different types of attacks... And DDoS seems unlikely to be it, based on the user-end symptoms. Just sayin'

The SQL error was simply the 'sessions' table maxed out with entries. Entires of those 10,000 some guests you will see at the bottom of the index: "Most users ever online was 10,612, Today at 09:49 AM." There was no corruption of any SQL Databases or any data loss.
Ah. I was under the assumption that LOIC or some other similar form of DDoS was used, so I was somewhat confused as to the nature of the attack.

Most likely that was a botnet attack.Unlikley that a loser would have 10'000 friends that want to attack a site for no reason.
