Just wondering if I'm breaking rules or possibly protocol, when I see someone with pony swag somewhere I politely and quietly say "bro hoof " and hold up my hoof for them to either accept or leave me hanging. Any others?
This may just be me, but I usually introduce myself with a polite handshake, do some casual smalltalk, and then swallow the other brony whole. My ultimate goal is to have swallowed every brony on earth. So far I've gotten three.
When I meet bronies, it's usually because we've arranged a meetup. But either way, ya, we brohoof all the time. Every now and again though I'll run into the odd brony, y'know, Outta nowhere. There was a bloke who walked past me one day wearing a Wonderbolts Shirt and Derpy bag. I chased after 'im, we exchanged brohoofs, and spoke of merch. There was also that one time in Thorpe Park, when we were lining up for a ride. I was with a group of brony mates, some of which were wearing shirts. A guy asked us whether we were bronies, to which we replied yes, 'course, and we exchanged Brohoofs. However, the meeting was only brief as he was swept away in the queue. ANYWAY. When I see someone wearing a shirt or something, I usually just ask "You a Brony?"- Of course, if they're wearing pony merch, they more than likely are, but eh. If aye, Brohoofs usually occur. And perhaps conversation. I'd say don't bother 'em if they look busy though.
Usually anything ranging from a smile and a nod to a high five and a complex choreographed dance number.
Never actually 'met' any but have seen them in Toys R Us and at the mall. I'm not really one to initiate conversations with people I don't know... or with people I DO know TBH.
Hasn't yet happened that I've stumbled across another brony in a random public setting...and if I have, they've never said anything to me. Only time I've ever met some face-to-face was at a local brony expo (even met some friends from MLP Forums there), but the extent of my conversations with the bronies there basically amounted to little more than small talk. ...Although I must say, one of the merch vendors there (quite cute, I might add) apparently had her eye on me, but I was too derped up on my merch high to notice. Kind of a fail. :\
Same thing I do with every sudden, unexpected interaction: be really awkward and unable to think of anything to talk about.
I usually just treat him/her like a normal person. I don't see why they have to be treated differently because they're into a certain fandom.
I jump with joy! Finding some pony around Kingman AZ who loves MLP like I do... or better yet just likes the damn show is sooooooo hard. I only got to meet one brony here so far but that was year or so ago and he's long gone...
Well, first brohoof, than normal conversation (if enough time is available). At least that`s what I did at last years gamescom in Cologne. So. Much. Pony!
I've only seen another Brony around here - usually on the crowded bus, far from where I'm standing. My wife wear's a Rarity hat, and I'm hoping somepony will come up and say, "Is that a Rarity hat?" Just so I can brohoof him. I do have a niece who watches the show - but she'll be eight next month. And very shy, even around me. Someday, I'll meet a brony in real life . . .
Never actually met one before. There was alot (like... A LOT) at NYCC, but I was with my non-brony friend and he kept dragging me away from anything pony lol. That and most of them seemed far more interested in merch than talking.
I say "hello" like any other normal person. If it's just seeing a brony/pegasister on the street, it ends there. If I meet one at the coffee shop or wherever, I'll indulge in a conversation with him/her.
