I know it may be considered a little of topic (no pun intended) but it is sort of to do with MLP considering a bunch of the people working on it worked on MLP! From what I have heard the people working on this new show that worked on MLP FIM include M.A Larson, Daniel Ingram and a bunch of VA's! You can tell that Hasbo is trying to attract the bronies with all the MLP VA's and the Twilight sparkle dog http://pinkie.ponychan.net/chan/files/src/135070840354.png I am very curious to see what they are going to do with this show and plan to watch the first few episodes. What do you guys think?
That dog is DEFINITELY based off Twilight. I've never been a fan of LPS, my sister was when she was younger, though. I'm not sure if I'll ever get round to watching it, it doesn't seem to have the appeal that MLP has... But we shall see.
I bet this is just Hasbro trying to abuse demographic. "Hey, we got the bronies to like ponies, why not LPS?" I don't think some of them realize it doesn't work that way. I mean, sure, many bronies will like LPS, but MLP was a victim of circumstance, not ability. I bet LPS will just turn into another one of those things you pass on TV.
LPS is going to be on cartoon network i bet....im a MLP fan for life, AND no one can change that, and that dog or what ever that is the hair look's like twilghts and what are the odd's that it has purple fur.
I generally like any cartoons aimed at a teenage audience, so we'll have to see which way they go with it for me to have any interest. Looking back on Animaniacs... oh my God... I cannot fathom watching that show NOW that I would understand EVERYTHING they put in it.
I'll give it a shot but they'll have to pull something out of their sleeves if they want to appeal to the viewers. Not just with VAs or with the people behind it
I definetly want to check it out especially since you got Peter New, Kathleen Barr, Ashleigh Ball, Tabitha St. Germain and Nicole Oliver voicing characters on Littlest Pet Shop, Daniel Ingram writing songs and M. A. Larson writing episodes for the show.
well, from first looks of it, it doesn't look too appealing, but when I think about it, I thought same for ponies when I saw it first time. Since it's made some of same people that make mlp:fim, I'll give it a shot. Maybe watch first couple episodes, if it becomes boring, ok, if it becomes entertaining, ok.
I may check it out. If they've put the same level of creativity into it as they have FiM then it might be worth a look. That said, its "real world" setting doesn't appeal to me like Equestria does. One of the things I like about FiM is its world building and the unfolding history of Equestria. I hope Hasbro aren't expecting the same level of crossover appeal that they got with FiM because things don't work like that. The key to the whole Brony thing is that it was grass roots development, it wasn't manufactured.
