Personally, i think they didn't give us a chance. They only showed the negatives and did not even include the positives and what good that we have done for ourselves and those around us. Perhaps the Brony documentary coming out will be a little more explanatory and less one sided.
They do that to any community fandom. They don't like collective groups. They did it to Furries, too. Point is, sensible people don't listen to FOX news anymore anyway.

The BANE of FOX News... Uninteresting Material! That's why, if you watched their coverage on the debate, they complained about the things one candidate did, then praised the other candidate for doing the same things. If it's not interesting, they make it interesting!
Taking Fox News seriously? With all their politically and socially biased broadcasts, the only people who take them seriously are morons and the people who share the same opinions.
I find their ranting on gays, democrats, and social issues hilarious. It's a great sitcom. Especially Bill Orly.
Personally I would expand that to Sensible people don't listen to MODERN NEWS NETWORKS anymore in general, being a Journalism Major *Lord I hope that doesn't make me sound pretentious* I feel I can safely say most major news networks are always run by some sort of Agenda, be it radical right wing politics, radical left wing politics, or just pure sensationalism, sadly journalistic integrity is near dead, sure theres still a few good news casters here & there, but the networks themselves, they're just a joke. Which speaking of jokes Ironically Comedy Central Programs like "The Daily Show" & "Colbert Report" are arguably the most reliable sources for news these days XD *Zany ain't it!?*
That's why at the beginning of the Daily Show he always says "Where more Americans get their news than any other network." Of course, I haven't been watching that much lately. I don't own a TV anymore.
Honestly, the only news show I've watched in the last 5 years or will watch is the Daily Show. At least it isn't entirely depressing.
Fox News is the troll form of the news, anyone seeing Fox News as a good source of information is a moron. I prefer MSNBC & CNN (maybe because I am a left-wing Libertarian.) I only agree with Conservatives on economical issues, hence why I am Libertarian and no longer a Democrat. And I am neutral on the gun issue. But the news all in all is stupid, but Fox News is the dumbest.
Couldn't have said it any better then myself! Fox news trashes everyone and thing they don't like or that then can't accept. Mostly because everyone at Fox News has a perspective and when people or groups of people don't meet their perspective and view how people should act and like, they trash 'em. Honestly, they did it to LGBT soldiers back when Dont Ask, Dont Tell vote was back in 2010 (?) or 2011 (?) they were talking to a gay female soldier discharged cause the military found out and they were making her out to be a she devil and crap. At the end of the day, Fox News should only be taken with a grain of salt along with msnbc
