Well, since we have a "Your face" thread, why not make a thread of your talents? Can you sing? Are you a great writer? Do you do musicals or on stage shows? How about horse riding? Ballet? Post pictures of that here if you so desire, or you can just talk about what your talent is! If you want you can even say how it ties into your cutie mark, if it does, that is! Also, this is not my idea... Merriweather was the genius behind me posting this
Well I'm an aspiring writer, though I feel computer programming is something I'm quite good at. In a stretch, I guess you could still call that writing XD Even so, writing is one of few things I've put a lot of time and effort into doing. I've always said that if my career in (insert here) fails, I could try becoming a professional writer... a lofty goal perhaps, but something I do hope to explore. This is why Foxy's cutie mark is a pencil and paper, for her (and my) love of writing.
You are an amazing writer Foxy, you don't write things that are boringly short but they aren't over detailed. I'm still crying over your Foxy story and I cannot WAIT for more to come out! And maybe you'll be a writer and I can be all "I KNOW THIS PERSON. He's Foxygasmic."
The raincloud, I'm always smiling, I got my cutie mark when I left my mother's house to go and live with my father, because as sad an occasion as it was I still smiled, my cutiemark represents my ability to always see the "silver lining". Sure I was leaving behind all of my childhood memories, but the bigger adventure had yet to begin. Stay Classy!
well, for me, it's snowflake, that represents my favorite tine of year, and snowboarding. it's really first thing I really enjoyed and I was good at it. It helped me trough some rough times, boosted my selfasteam, and I still enjoy doing it. it was really first thing I really felt like I could do anything that gets on my mind. so yeah, that's why snowboarding is my special talent and why snowflake is my cutie mark.
I can fly if that counts? Been flying for the past 3 years and it's one of the things I most love, hopefully when I have enough money I'll splash out and finally get my PPL. But for now, I suppose I'll have to settle with someone in the other seat a little while longer! I did originally want to join the RAF as a pilot, but with my grades in Maths not being the best they could I realised I would have to settle for something a little less, 'glamorous'.
My talent lies in my learning. I'm a naturally curious guy. If something interests me, I don't ignore it, I go and check it out. I suppose that's how I came to know so much about languages. I had a piece of German work handed back to me a few years back, where 'in' was crossed out and replaced with 'im'. I did a quick Google search, found out about the case system, and it all branched off from there. Now everyone here knows me as the guy that knows a ton of languages and confusing vocabulary. NOW, onto artistic talents! ...I have none. Eh, they'll crop up eventually.
My special talent? Time travel. However, that's one of those things Where the process IS the result. ... Also getting electrocuted a lot helps. And hurts too. What is my real special talent? Coding. I love to program. Unfortunately, a Boolean algebra Cutie mark is a the worst special Talent you could possibly have. Boolean algebra being the closest thing to Computers in a society without them. As such, I picked Time travel. Because they're almost the same. Right?
I love to camp and be outdoors, and so my cutie mark represents my (and my OC's) adventurous spirit and desire to travel.
I am not sure, but I might be a blank flank. I have great creative skills and an intrest in theology and mythology, still I do not know how to use my skills in any real world scenario, I do not have a clear path. My OC is a skilled dreamwalker, the a dark moon as a cutie mark, this mark can represent my skills in occult lore.
My cutie mark represents the sphere as both a geometrical, artistic, realistic, fantastic, etc. figure and/or shape. I drew it completely with ONLY circles, adding overlay effects to the layer (it was consisted of only 1 layer). I both made it out of spheres and destroyed it with them (All lines are curvatures). Why did i pick a sphere? It is the most complex geometrical shape and the only one that has infinite sides/edges and angles. It is, also, the most stable one in all of it's parts. Also, it doesn't really say anything about me - but since i love math, music and a little bit of Drawing, i think it fits properly. Now, what does it have to do with music? The longest note (full one) one can produce is represented by a filled-in circle.
Mine is something of a watchful eye. I suppose this idea is reflected in the prologue of my fic. "No stars shined and many thick clouds muddled the cosmic terrace and the moon was far too distant to spill its lovely light. Its pale glow was unable to reach where she lay with any intensity, but she stared at it expectantly, curious of the silent eye in the night." The line was slightly rewritten in the last revision, but I have described the moon as an "observer" and "watchful eye". I can read people and (over) analyze feelings and reactions--always watching. While I enjoy my writing very much, that line, and the Prologue in general, are poor examples of it. Beyond that, I don't have many practical real world skills.
The cutie mark of my public persona here is a Labyrinth which represents the turnings of my mind, my love of mythology, and also my favourite movie (can you guess?) My personal cutie mark is actually a gold Oroborous which I plan to get as a tattoo at some point. That represents the cyclical nature of the soul and also my deep love of mythology and lore. My dream occupation is Comparative Mythologist. I'm not sure that's a talent, though. :/
My cutie mark was a hasty decision, but I don't regret it in the slightest. It's pretty much just a golden horseshoe with wings. It was supposed to be a mock of the Cross Country symbol. The reason I chose this is because, well, running means a lot to me. I met so many great people from it, I got into shape, and it's insanely fun. As for my OC, it pretty much shows that his special talent is his energy, in the fact that it seems never ending.
Mine is when I was working at FedEx ground loading boxes in trucks. I was loading near the outside wall and i thought i just banged my hand of the ribs of the truck. I looked over and saw that there was a broke off screw sticking out. I looked down and saw that it had cut a 1 1/2 inch slice across my knuckle. I made a fist and it popped open and I got to see the tendon and bone of my hand. I got out of the truck and wrapped my hand in my shirt. I found my boss and told him I cut my hand. He looked down and I showed him and he went pale. By that time I was bleeding pretty good and it was starting to drip through my shirt and into my hand. We walked to the front office, on the way he told me not to touch anything because i was a biohazard. After that I got called bio there and the name stuck. I even got the symbol tattooed on my arm. Now for a real life cutie mark. It would be bullets because im a really good shot with any firearm you put in my hands.
Successful thread seems successful. Thanks for giving me credit on the idea. :derpe: I know where the musical idea came from. And I don't know whether the "tie" thing was intentional... *looks at my cutie mark* Anyway, thanks for doing so! I should probably get to talking about my talent... well, I am a proud perfectionist, I like things to be smart and orderly. The organised image of a pony with a dapper suit was an image that is to my left today! Hence the bow-tie, a symbolic image of orderly apparel. ^_^ Edit: Not anymore, I've changed my avatar.
Ah, more clone threads... Kamina glasses. Why? Because with my sudden persona change, the only way to describe the talent for manly of Kaminalestia is to give an artifact of Kamina.
