With holidays like Mothers Day/ Fathers Day in the U.S., I've been wondering if DHX could use the holidays to promote a slightly different type of friendship, and have an episode with a pony bonding with their parents, since I'm sure you can be friends with your parents as well. Sadly, there are few ponies who are shown to be parents in MLP- Mr and Mrs Cake (parents to Pumpkin and Pound cake) Filthy Rich (parent to Diamond Tiara), Rarity and Sweetie Belle's parents (Magnum and ...whatever his wife's name is), and Twilight Velvet and Nightlight (parent to Twilight Sparkle and Shining Armor) Which pony parent friendship bonding pair would you guys like to see in an episode?
Don't forget pinkie's parents... Hmm... I'd love to see more of any of the parents really... Or even Dash/AJ or Fluttershy's parents!
Like Ridley said Applejack's parents can't be in the episode since they are dead that is unless of course they come back as ghost.
I like the headcanon of Fluttershy having distance connection with her parents. it'll make a nice episode seeing a disconnected family become friends.
my question is are applejack's parents really dead or are they just gone? There are stories that the parents run off or that the child is taken from the family because they are really bad. It'll be interesting to see Applejack react to seeing her parents after all these years. I just hate when people accept headcanon as fact.
It's been confirmed that they're dead. The two shooting stars at the end of Apple Family Reunion were supposed to represent them.
