    I'm just curious.

I usually use Windows 7. But my laptop got a virus and made my hard drive unreadable. Long story short, I'm trialing Linux Mint at the moment. I will hopefully get a new laptop soon then I will make a more permanant decision when I get it.

So, what operating system do you use?

I used to use Windows Vista, but then I got a new laptop so I'm using Windows 7. Personally, I didn't get any problems that people who used Windows Vista had, so I don't understand the hate.

I wish I had a spare machine to run this on. I don't want to risk installing it on my main computer, sigh.

Snow Leopard and Windows 7 something-or-other 64bit. Before May last year 'twas good old Windows XP.

Personally, I found XP much nicer to use than 7.

    Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Before that, I only upgraded to Windows XP because I couldn't play Command & Conquer 3 on Windows 2000. :\

    Ubuntu 10.10 and windows XP

Dumb XP has internet issues, as in it won't work.

Linux is cool but I can't do anything on it. Can't draw, can't make music, can't play games.

It was a big mistake to build a computer, should have just bought one.

I built my computer and love it to death. What's wrong with building one?

Nothing if you know how to do it. I didn't, my friend did most of the work. I just wasted the money on pieces. I was going to use windows 7 but he told me linux was better. Only now linux is just a major pain and XP internet won't work. I've tried everything.

So new plan. Buy one from a store. Problem solved, except for the money lost building it.

That's the exact same story as me, right down to the friend building it, except my friend installed Windows 7. :p

Why not just install Windows 7 instead of Linux?
