Fluttershy is an animal expert, and she often takes care of sick and wounded animals. And as any animal rehabilitation expert can tell you, the animals don't always make it. I think it's quite likely that Fluttershy has seen more death than the rest of the Mane Six combined. Edit: Fluttershy has killed animals before. She killed fish to feed the ferrets.
