I started watching it around July 2011 and really became a fan around the end of September. I have friends to thank for that. So for about a year now, I've loved the show. I'm glad I didn't give up on it cause it's really made a difference in my life. No other show has really had quite the same effect. For those eager, wait a sec, I'll put a poll with it.
July 23rd, 2011. It was the first day I saw my very first video/picture of MLP:FiM ever. I was instantly hooked before I even knew it was MLP. I came here just under 2 weeks after that day.
February 8, 2012 It was when I first decided to give this 'MLP FIM' a chance. I figured, hey, if all these people like it enough for me to see it on Reddit's front page, it must be good. Hook, line, and sinker.
21st of November 2011, I believe. Started watching the episodes on Monday, was up to date by Thursday.
As a furry, my communities became over-run with converts and dual-purpose artists. For the longest time I tried to ignore it, figuring that it would be "just another one of those shows." Then I heard that Lauren Faust was involved... and this was something I had previously been ignorant to. So I gave it a chance. Figured I'd just watch one or two episodes and check it out... 8 episodes later I decided I should probably sleep. So I became a brony at the time Season 2 Episode 12 was the current episode.
As a sad sap who was bored all the time and felt like my life was crap (Never resorted to anything detrimental to my health though, never will) This fandom gave me new purpose and has outfited me with the nessicary skills to try at a lot of things I do. Ex. Smile at everyone, no reason to be rude. More effort to hang with friends than expect them to hang with me... Work hard to get good rewards (Even though i'm kind of not following that last one right now.) YOu know, the works.
Well, I'm actually talking about when you became a fan of the show but if you liked it instantly, that works too. :3
I don't remember the exact date, but I didn't start watching the show until season one was almost over, maybe somewhere around April 2011. As for when I really started liking it, that would be sometime over the summer. When I think about it now, my join date here is probably a good representation of when I decided ponies were pretty cool. I didn't watch the episodes when they aired until season two, because I wanted to catch up on what I missed before watching the new ones in S1.

Some where around October 2011 I watched the first episode and stared liking it pretty much from the start, I kept quite through most of the episode which means I liked it. Then I couldn't stop watching it until I got up to the last episode that was up on Youtube which was Lesson Zero (I think not 100% sure) I'm not sure when but I stopped watching MLP FIM and started watching Anime, Disney movies and stuff like that but I got back into MLP FIM around April-ish this year? Not sure but I still love the show just the same I might like it more then I did in October
Yo, man. Netflix is meh homie. That's all I watch. Nah, but seriously, that's all I have is Netflix. When they added MLP:FIM to Instant on April 1st, I couldn't tell for sure or if it was a joke.
i started really watching the show on the third of April, the month of my birthday. when my step brother started dying on my couch from laughing so hard. i walked in and lo and behold i laughed too cause of the canterlot wedding episode.
