Day of Chaos Across the many different Equestria and other worlds of the many different parallel, the day started out normally, or at least what was normal for that realm, then something strange happened. In a flash, their worlds had been turned upside-down, inside out, spread across every point in space and time then came back together at a single point, combining all these different worlds in a way that was never meant to be. They soon found themselves seeing their doubles, triplets, quadruplets, and so on and so forth. Very soon after the moment these realms came together, chaos broke out as each one tried to futilely assert their dominance over the other. If they went anywhere that wasn't part of the scattered pieces of their realm, they found they were much easier to defeat than on their own lands, and vice versa. However, these continued for quite sometime, with a common standstill on all sides. Many weeks later After realizing the futility of their efforts to assert themselves over their partners, most of the realms retreated to their own scattered places and tried to continue on as they would normally, but a few decided that they would try to fix this problem, after all, one cannot simply continue to have many of the same things in one world! These few realms came together in a version of Canterlot known as New Canterlot, to bring together their greatest heroes and saviors in an attempt to reorder the worlds and put everything back to the way it was, but nothing is ever as simple as it seems....
Firebreeze looked over to his other-dimensional self. Comparatively, Captain, as he liked to call him, looked much more warn out and mature than Firebreeze. He seemed to have accepted fate, unlike the champion of fire, who would dwell over the pain of the past like it was eternal. Perhaps there was something to learn from the Captain, but now wasn't the time.
The multiple Celestias and Lunas looked to Tremalion and Heculius, who were strangely one of the few in the new world that lacked inter-dimensional twins. The two stepped forward at looked at the repetitive crowd before them, "Well, now that you are all here I guess we shall get right to it." Tremalion said, "First, in case you didn't know, I am Tremalion, King of Storms in my world, and this is Heculius, Prince of Calm, and in our world we rule beside Celestia and Luna, in fact we are siblings. Now, we gathered you all here today because we need the best, and you're it. Each one of you is well known and respected in your own realm, and we are hoping that the combination of all of you will be good enough to find a way to put everything back right. Well, I think that about covers it. Any questions?"
Power devoured his salad and onions as Surge just watched in awe. "How do you have such an appetite!?" He asked, thunderstruck. The two had decided on names when they arrive with a three-way collision between... themselves. The third one was a little loopy, so they left him to his own business. Power also stuck to Surge until they could find his lightning rod, which was lost in the collision. Being in the First Equestria, they moved into Surge's house at the end of New Canterlot. "And how do you not have such an appetite! We haven't eaten in hours!" He chucked the empty bowl across the room and stared his counterpart in the eyes. "This place doesn't have any electricity either! I'm freakin' out here! He grabbed his mane and began frantically beating it with his hooves. Surge sighed and said "Cool it, I don't want any more broken lamps. Why do you think I cut the power in the first place? Power stopped and looked as if he'd just come down from a sugar high. "This place is cramped, I'm going to go look for my rod again." Before Surge could reply, he was already out the door. With a drawn out sigh, Surge trotted out the door after his spazzmatical twin.
The Facade's had stayed together, each of them looking older and more experienced as they went along the line. The First Facade was clearly the youngest, wearing odd green glasses and an arrogant, cocky grin plastered on his face. He was currently idling around, occasionally looking a picture of Twilight Sparkle he carried around with sappy, romantic eyes. He didn't seem to know FireBreeze as he wasn't glaring at the green pegasus as the others were. The second Facade was almost always glaring at Facade, with the Element of the Spoken Word on his head. He seemed just as energetic, but with ambition burning in his eyes. His glasses were still on, but seemed almost broken, barely hugging his face. He seemed agitated being next to Firebreeze. The next seemed a bit more in control, but his eagerness and intelligence, along with his passion for power still burned. He seemed not to stare at Firebreeze, but the Captain. He burned more with a simple hate, but passionate despise, for he was one of the ones who had attempted the coup against his Canterlot. However, a female named Etereo sat next to him, which had a calming affect on him, and caused all of the other Facade's to stare. Most in wonder and shock a mare was calmly sitting next to one of them, but one another with shame and guilt. This one was the oldest and had died down in passion. A badge with the seal of Celestia and Luna stayed on his chest, and he sat patiently, awaiting the orders. And finally, there was one who sat a bit away from the others. He seemed to stay in the Shadow's and the two other Earth Ponies with odd metal contraptions in their hoofs. But all of them were the same, and all seemed ready to get back to their lives. As Tremalion spoke the youngest Facade looked over at Etereo with slightly wide eyes. She looked over to him with a raised eyebrow. "Was a mare following you around that rare?" She whispered to her Facade. He blushed lightly and tore his gaze away from the Captain. "I don't feel like going through my past with you at the moment Etereo. But...I wasn't the most polite Stallion in my age." "My lord...You still aren't." Facade glared lightly at her comment, but quieted down as Captain spoke. Etereo held his hoof, stopping the temptation of humiliating the disgusting ingrate. "I'm actually surprised with all of the Luna's and Celestia's they can not use their powers to separate our own dimensions." The leader of the C:I7 spoke up, staring at his own leader.
Tremalion looked over his shoulder at the other rulers with wide eyes then back at the group after the question, "We kinda honestly don't know..." he said. Suddenly a white mare with a tiara with a white sun on it, the peaceful form of the Element of Light, stepped forward, "But what of OPIAT Tremalion?" she asked. Tremalion shook his head sadly, "He is lost. We have not had any contact from him since the Day of Chaos, despite our best efforts." after that, the mare seemed to shrink back, not seeming to regain herself until she came back up next to a blue stallion who put a comforting arm around her. "So, yea, I think you all should head out and see what you can find, and all of us need to get back to our own places." Tremalion said, and with that, the majority of the Celestia's and Luna's disappeared.
The Iron's had not stayed together at all they were all completely different all they could agree on were their nicknames and that was Good Iron the Unicorn, Bad Iron the Earth, and Neutral Iron the Pegasus. But each of them went to court one by one Good and Bad Iron glaring at each other with Neutral Iron staring into nothing because of his commander had left for some place he positioned his goggles again and tried to get the cloud bits out of his mane but failed again making his mane and coat a swirl of White and Brown. Bad Iron looked around and back at the Operator with him trying to hid in the shadows but he didn't look as menacing now with the rest of the clones looking all weird and such and Bad Iron looked back at Good Iron giving him an evil eye. Good Iron looked as Bad Iron gave him the evil eye he tried to look away but he couldn't the best he could do was gaze his work that he did in New Canterlot he was also near the 3rd Facade and the pony by his side Etereo because all Iron's noticed they were all followers.
"Hey kid," The Captain said to The Element of Fire as he walked over, "You wanna help me with something." "Uh, sure. I'd be happy to,.The Element replied, taking note of his counterpart's his counterpart's rough voice. "Follow me, then." Captain said, leading them out.
The Element of the Spoken Word and Political Facade watched the two carefully. As the other Facade's discussed things amongst one another the two nodded towards FireBreeze and the Captain. "Follow them?" "Yes." Etereo tightened her grip on his hoof. "My lord..." She said with a glare. "Don't worry Etereo. Just making sure they aren't up for another coup." He said with a smile, but it was a clear lie and she knew it. But she could do nothing but follow, for when he got hot-headed like this not much could stop him. They both scooted out of their chairs and walked off to follow FireBreeze and the Captain. The others were still talking. "I...I become a branch leader!?" Youngest Facade asked in amazement, staring at C:I7's badge. He sighed and nodded. "It's not so grand as you think. We have to handle a crisis back at my Canterlot. It's...a problem." "And what about the mare?" Youngest Facade questioned. "Why is she not with you?" C:I7 stayed silent and glared at himself which he found to be quite a headache as he thought about it. "Right...No questions in that direction then." Youngest Facade muttered.
"So what do you need?" Firebreeze asked. "I need you to help me scan this world so I can get a virtual map for the Victor." Captain replied. "What the hay's the Victor?" "You'll see, my friend. Here, get in the boarding-pod." Captain said, pointing to a small ship, only truly capable of carrying two in the cockpit and five in the back. Firebreeze just looked at the ship for a few seconds in awe, he's never seen something like this. He shook himself out of the awe-stricken state and entered the cockpit along with the captain.
Tyro sat next to Tyro, who in turn sat next to Tyro. There was not a physical difference between any of them. All three sat in roughly the same way, six, white tipped tails waving backwards and forwards while six dark eyes stare off at nothing in particular. "You know what?" One Tyro poses rhetorically, "it's nice to be asked to attend for once." "How do you mean?" Another asks, the third Tyro listening in. "Every time there's a problem only the Elements can fix, Tremalion just zaps us to him. It's really annoying, not to mention rude." Tyro 1 answers. The other two nod. "Yeah, magic users can get a little high and mighty sometimes." Tyro 2 said. "No respect sometimes. Just summon us up like there's nothing I could possibly be doing." Tyro 3 adds. "He's managed to catch me while I was on a date." A smug grin spreading across Tyro 1's face as he spoke. "Uh huh? Who was that, exactly?" Tyro 3 asks. "Star Shine from the Palace." Tyro 1 took great delight in revealing. Tyro 3 whistles his amazement. "I need to know how you managed that. She told me to die in a hole." "Huh..." Tyro 2 said, "I can't remember what she told me but I think it involved a flagpole and I remember it being...uncomfortable." "Maybe she likes a Fox in armour?" Tyro 1 suggested. "Nah!" Tyros 2 and 3 said in unison. "You don't think I could woo somepony successfully?" "We're all fluffy and breathe fire. Only some kind of potion or something would get Star Shine to do anything but spit on you." reasoned Tyro 2, "So what did you use?" "I would never use anything of the...of the...All right, I did use something but I haven't a clue what. I just brought it off a stall once and didn't believe it would do anything so I tried it out." admitted Tyro 2. "How was the date?" "Awful! Whatever I gave her, it was pretty powerful. The love letters didn't stop for about a week. Every hour, on the hour. Having a new job to do was something of a relief, just to get away from her wide eyes and wedding day plans..." They all titter a little, sighing. None of them had managed anything meaningful here yet. Three universes worth of potential partners and nopony was interested. "We ought to get on with the job at hand." Tyro 3 pointed out. The others nodded, then got up to then dash forwards towards their first, possible lead.
Snow looked over to see Element Facade leaving to likely follow Firebreeze, "Hey, Speak-Easy! You really should learn to let him go ya know!" she yelled to him over her shoulder to make sure he heard her, then her and Winter turned to head out to actually DO what they were assigned to do.
Element Facade waved his hoof in her direction as he continued on with Politcal Facade. "She doesn't understand!" he complained to his older compatriot. "He has been a pain in my flank since I became an element! Now it's our turn to get him back!" Political Facade smiled, but Etereo still looked unhappy. "Indeed! I'm sure with our combined intelligence we will be able to take them out just fine." Political Facade stated, but before they could plan they stopped and stared at the odd machinery in front of them. "Huh, A SpaceShuttle. Unlike the one were planning to build, my lord." Etereo commented as she took the news in calmly. "If we had the funds." He reminded her. "But...if they are the same...Perhaps I can do something!" He said eagerly before softly cantering onboard the shuttle, along with Elemental and Etereo. "Interesting...it seems to be slightly like the original. I believe I can do something." Political Facade said as he stared around at the walls. "My lord...This is the boarding-pod. The ship is probably in orbit." Facade's eyes twitched and he muttered a thank you under his breath. ------------------------------------------- Youngest Facade and CI:7 were walking down the hall both debating over what could be accomplished. "No, Facade. I can't pull that many agents out of Canterlot, or any other city. I believe the Cult is still here and a weakness in defense could spell disaster for all of us." He stated once again, patience wearing thin from his younger versions persistence. "Come now! I'm sure the Cult or whatever will still be recovering from the dimensional transport. We just need to figure out who and what did this and we will be fine. Just recruit more Royal Guard from the other nations. I'm sure mine will do be willing to give away some. We haven't had an invasion yet." Younger Facade pressed, drawing a sigh from C:I7. "I'll think about it. Now come, We have work to do. And I could do with an intelligent assistant." He said walking out of the palace. "Assistant?! I am the Great and Powerful Facade! No one except-" "Myself tells me what to do? I am you, now stop yelling." He said over his shoulder, causing younger Facade to grumble as he followed him.
The pod launched off towards the victor. "You're about to meet a lot of good soldiers, kid." Captain said with a slight smile. "Soldiers? You have an army?" Fire asked. "Not exactly an army, well, not anymore. We've still got plenty of crewmen and soldiers aboard the ol' Victor. That Lass has survived one of the biggest battles in my dimension's history." "Impressive!" Fire said genuinely. Soon, the Victor was in sight. Breeze had never seen such a thing. It was beautiful. "It's not just the Victor, too. We've also got the Little Brother fighters on stand by." The captain added as they entered the ship.
"What the buck is wrong with this world?" Shadow Wing thought to himself before leaving the shadows he had been hiding in. He had seen the entire meeting, keeping watch over the queen, ready to kill anypony that posed a threat on a moments notice. He had been called back from a mission to the queen when she had felt something wrong with...something, the queen hadn't been too specific as to what. But nopony had told him he would be returning back to a palace of dozen's of the royal sisters. There were enough Luna's there that he could have killed her and finished sunset's mission six times over...but which Celestia would he have told of the accomplished deed. Was the queen even among these Celestia's? Shadow Wing certainly hadn't seen her in the room. For some reason all of these Celestia's had flowing rainbow manes, almost etheral, not at all like the true queen's swirling black mane. Most ponies seemed to have copies of themselves in this world, but Shadow Wing seemed to be alone. Either that or whatever copies he had were even more proficient at remaining hidden than he himself. The two ponies that had called the meeting seemed to know what was going on, and if the palace were still the same way he remembered it. He could have them gone with the clop of a hoof if they were trouble. Cautiously, Shadow Wing approached the two.
Tremalion noticed a pony trying to approach him, and with a sly look to his siblings, looked back to the pony and yelled with his legendary Thunder Voice, basically a such extreme version of the Royal Canterlot Voice that in some cases it could be heard all the way across Equestria, "HALT THERE, WHAT BRINGS THY TO APPROACH THE ROYAL FOUR RULERS OF EQUESTRIA?!" He snickered a bit on the inside of his copying of Luna's Royal Canterlot Voice's accent.
"Four Rulers?" Shadow Wing smirked to himself, but stopped as commanded. If they were uncooperative he could still deal with them from where he was. "I doubt that queen Celestia will be pleased to here a bunch of foals are trying to steal her position. But then again, i doubt that she's aware of what's going on right now, otherwise you would all probably be dead right about now...which can still be arranged if you don't answer my questions. So lets begin, where is the queen, and what in Equestria is going on here?"
The four burst out laughing, "In case you haven't been paying attention..." Celestia started. "But there's been an inter-dimensional fusion..." Luna continued. "And as it turns out..." Heculius said, allowing Tremalion to finish the statement, "You cannot hurt those of another dimension inside the area that is their dimension!" Tremalion finished, before suddenly becoming very serious, "However, I will stress this, we are not foals, each one of us is over a thousand five hundred years old and have seen more conflict between the four of us than entire nations do for several generations."
"Sometimes age is more than years." Shadow Wing said, stepping back onto the slightly yellowed plate. Said plate was connected to a series of mechanisms that should have dropped the four, especially the traitor Luna, into the palace dungeon's. There he would have plenty of time and tools to interrogate the four, and though he doubted that the last speaker had lied, there was no pony that Shade couldn't find a way to hurt. However, instead of sealing of their magic and dropping them down into the palace depths, properly caged and harmless, a small part of the floor sank downwards slightly before stopping, doing nothing more than throw off the castles symmetry. Shadow Wing attempted to conceal his surprise. Either there was some force defending the four or the palace had changed as well. "So what do we do about getting everything back to usual then? considering how she would have crushed you to pieces if she were here, she's likely found a way back. Lucky you, being insignificant enough to escape her wrath, and don't give me any of the hay about being safe in your own dimension. If she wanted to she could tear you apart, no matter how many universes are between you. So you better give me an answer, and i better like it."
