While I was gone.

I used to be an active member of this community. But I had to leave. I had to leave because I ironically became even more of a brony.

It turned out I had a larger local community then I could have ever imagined. So I have been attending local brony meetups and being social with a 200 member strong local community about 60 of which I have met IRL.

Here was our latest meetup, complete with Cupcakes.

I am a very prominent figure in my local community. Because I am the one who films our meetups with an actual education in film making and so I have been making a documentary on bronies.

This is a short version I made to pass my course. It kinda sucks due to time limits. But the full 20-30 minute version I plan to make perfect and of professional quality and let it take as long as it needs to take to finish. I estimate February 2012.

I have been completely respectful of my classmate and never tried to shove MLP:FiM in their faces. I just worked on my personal project of a brony news story and rarely ever mentioned magic or friendship to them.

Imagine my surprise when the planned interview with a local musician fell through and my producer basically begged me to get a brony to interview. I never even had to ask or suggest it. It was easy to make it happen. 200 bronies is very easy to get one available person out of. It turned out incredibly well and I could not have imagined a better brony to volunteer. He was even more comfortable in front of the camera then the terrible N00b actors we had.

I have attended all the meetups small and big and everytime we had an opportunity to shoot some kind of funny brony video we did. The fun had been doubled thanks to my video camera.

I miss you guys. In some ways I still love you all more, then my new local friends.

As you can see I have not abandoned the Brony fandom, if anything I am more involved then ever. I have several more video projects that are half completed. I will try and remember to post them here. I even have completed videos, but due to certain circumstances uploading them is proving difficult. I love you guys as you got me through the period during which I thought I was the only brony in all of Australia. Now we are competing with other states to have the biggest meetup turnouts. In the smallest state in Australia, South Australia they had ~ 60 people turn up. We had about 40 here in WA.

Oh that is still not all. I am friends with a guy who created a really awesome website called www.broniesperth.com. But it is now www.broniesaustralia.com, thanks to my suggestion that we expand. We succeed and this is now the official website for Australian bronies to organise meetup and chat. If there are any Perth Bronies here, please join us. I would not have found the Australian Perth brony community if not for one that briefly joined these very forums and invited me. Thanks Azza.

So yeah basically I hope this content filled thread helps to make up for my lack of activity and posts. But as rarely as I post I intend to make them be worth the wait. Our next meetup is on the 15th of January and we have ideas as to how we will make it more interesting an unique then every other meetup before.
