Why is it impossible to stop liking MlP?

What is it that make this cartoon so errisistable? Other cartoons or animations are possible to sto liking but what makes MlP so much different? Cause it's about interesting little pretty ponies? A long time ago I tried to stop liking it and failed...

But I'm glad I failed now, figured I'd just see what everypony thought about this interesting little question.

Either the awesome fandom (like the guys at this site) or the fact that it's a "strange" obsession that you just can't help feeding. I want to relate it to a certain example but I fear that some may take it the wrong way. So I'll just leave it out for now.

I think it's because of all the subtle hints in the show...

I was thinking this the other day. When Disney movies and such talk and sing about love and smiling I think "Eh, so cheesy." Then when watching the same thing on MLP I'm thinking :omg: and occasionally , but mostly . I don't really think it's the fandom since I felt more attached in those ways when I found out about the show on my own, without knowing anything about bronies or even a group of fans. I still can't explain or identify what makes it so different(better) than the other kid shows. It just is, and I like it. Makes me feel good and puts a smile on my face every time I watch it.

well, there are some things you just can't have enough of.
mlp:fim is one of them (however, I can name few more cartoons and shows that are that way, at least for me)
it's just that it's so well made that it never gets boring. Also, fandom and all fan made material just add to the lust of mlp:fim.

Unless they really buck up the show somehow, nopony will ever stop loving it. At least I think so. It is far too popular.

It's the innocence of the characters compared to other shows.

They can claim it not being in their tastes, but no one can deny the quality of the show without lying.

About half my friends claimed to hate it after I showed them.

    ----> Fastforward 2 months

Only two of my friends still claim to hate it.

    Some like it some don't

But inside the ones who don't like it there will always be a spark of ponies...

And the ones that love it will love it in their hearts forever...

    Meh.

    After over a year now,
It, and much of the fandom bores me.

You can't turn away from it competely. Of course terrible fans, bad art, gross dramas..but it's just as easy found as all the good things. And its the good things that bring you back <3

    - Active fan community
    - Hasbro has been unusually accepting of Bronies and their creative material related to the show, and as we all know, the writers and animators have actually changed small things as nods toward the herd
    - A love of cute things probably stays with one for life
    - The show is, of course, excellent
    - It also helps that the series is still airing

I will probably only hate it if it turns into some crap like adventure time. Not sure what else besides that that would make me hate the show.

    1. MLP does what Disney used to do, that is to say, awesome well written cartoon with catchy musical numbers

    2. It makes you happy (and thats pretty hard to do in modern society)

    3. Has a fanbase that is actually tolerable (unlike anime, gaming, etc.)
