As you’re probably aware, MLP episode ratings are at an all time low. This is because of Discovery Family’s failure to advertise the show (They just recently changed the promos, FFS). Also, Discovery Family is a rapidly sinking ship. Do you think MLP will move to another channel? And if so, what would be your ideal channel?
Discovery Family being at fault or not, the only reason we know about Season 6 was because it came from a Discovery Family memo or something like that. This seems to suggest that it's staying on Discovery Family despite this so-called "poor advertising" that you're claiming. I'm not saying you're wrong because I don't watch the channel enough to know for myself. Regardless, if it moves channels there's very few places it would "fit" IMO. It's kind of obvious too. Disney Channel Disney XD Nicktoons Cartoon Network Notice how I didn't include Nickelodeon? This is because they barely air cartoons all that much anymore. But that's just me obviously.
Where did you read that ratings were down? I'd really like to see some numbers before I can believe that.

Eh. The thing to remember is that those numbers only account for people that watched it on television when it aired. That does not take into account the number of people who watched a livestream or watched after the fact. MLP is by far their biggest cash cow. It is not going anywhere.
