I have had this question on my mind for quite awhile and wanted to see what others on the forum would do. If you where given the choice of either staying here in the real world or living in Equestria as your OC for the rest of your life which would you choose? I would go and live in Equestria no if, and's, or but's about it. Thought this would be a fun topic to discuss here on the forums.
Tempting... But it wouldn't feel right to just abandon this world to it's fate. If I went to live in Equestria never to return, I think I would feel like a coward for the rest of my life. This world isn't evil, it's just a bit of track. If I'm not willing to do my part getting my own world right, I don't think I deserve to live in a paradise like Equestria either. Yeah I know... I'm thinking too deep I'm okay with you guys whatever your opinions on this are.
I would live in Equestria in a heartbeat. Real life sucks. People suck. My job sucks. It wouldn't be much better in Equestria, but I would be much happier there, and I would actually be doing something I like.
Like I already told you being a pony in Equestria would mean I would have no fingers and therefore wouldn't be able to play computer games, so I have to say sorry Equestria, but maybe someday I will come for a visit. Just testing out living there for a week or so would make the decision much easier. Another problem i just thought of... I love meat and all ponys are vegetarians, already 2:0 for Real Life :derpe:
You mean live in a world of harmony. A world almost devoid of danger. I said almost. I know there is still danger. Or stay here on this planet, in this life. I choose Equestria. I wouldn't regret it at all.
My life's not great, but it's not bad. Definitely could be worse. Lots and lots worse. Having said that, I would go in a heartbeat. Hopefully, I'd be given time to say goodbye to the people that count, or even arrange for them to come along. The real hard thing would be if I was told, "You have to go now, and alone, or never." Then, I'd have to say no.
The problem is, there's no more space for another main character except Luna and so we all would have to be backround characters they never talk to. Eventhough Pinkie says she knows EVERYONE and Twilight Sparkle made endless new friends at her welcome-party, they only talk to each other 95% of the time. So no Fluttershy or Rainbow Dash or whatever for you

I think the best part about Equestria and My Little Pony is that it's an escape from the real world. It wouldn't be as special if it was real life. So I would definitely still choose to stay in the real world, for sure.
I'd definitely go, Ponies are too awesome to reject! As long as your turned into a pony too, its aaaaaalllll good. But then, ponies don't live as long as humans... But does that even matter that much when you've had a life time of ponies? Even if life is cut short, its still worth it, I thinks...
Short life? Sure? Celestia and Luna are older than 1000 years and I never saw a pony-graveyard or so, do they even die?
I'd thought so... but then, who knows.... I thought that they might, cos they clearly age. I mean, if a pony got to the Granny smiths stage and just stayed like that for eternity, I'd stay here. Ponies in real life, no. But this is a world where medicine is almost nulled by magic, so life expectancies should be much greater, likely exceeding humans. They definitely do. If they were immortal, they would have no reason to fear the manticore, or any other beast. Overanalysing is the best kind of analysing.
