Yo, everypony! Im currently designing my own pony, one that im hoping to make a story for. He hasn't yet got a name, but i was thinking it could be Pixel Bolt, cos hes fast. But then I decided "pixel" sounded dumb n front of Bolt. So now hes called _______ Bolt. Anyway, He's a Pegasus Pony. This is him! V 0.7 He is a pegasus pony who loves games and competitions. He will be known for his dopey-nes and for being slightly socially challenged. He is, though, quite competitive hates unfairness. I can see him having a strong relatioship with such characters as Rainbow dash and Apple Jack. Maybe slightly more with Rainbow though... Improved; -Better use of borders -shiny eyes. -Coloured coat -better ear. -Improved wing. -Thicker lines -Tail lowered -Back legs Thanks everypony, every piece of feedback is useful!
Sorry, I think i accidently clicked that button that say Back to auto-save... :derpe: Thanks, I've fixed it up
hey its realy good! way better than my first try, keep up the good work, hope to see some more art from you ^_^
Thanks, everypony! I've updated the post with pictures of the improved pony. -Better use of borders -shiny eyes. -Coloured coat
Good job keep it up. I'm horrible at naming things. The wings I can help a little bit. The wings have two parts to them, the part connected to the body and the farthest away part. The part from the body has 3 feathers on it, then the farther part has 4 feathers. I thing the tail should be lowered, but only a really really small amount. You think pixel is a dumb name. Spoiler: spoiler Only joking
If I can offer any advice, it would be to sketch whatever you're drawing, no matter what program you're using, before you add any colors or bold lines. If you're using MS Paint (it does appear so) try drawing it over and over in the same file with gray on a white background, and then darkening in the lines you want to keep with black. This will give your sketch straighter lines and a bolder look. Then you can add color for fill. If I could say anything two things about this design, they would be: 1. You draw the shape of the head, ears, and back leg extremely well! The tail is also shaped very well. 2. I would recommend adding in the other two legs (the ones on the other side of the pony ) for depth. I've noticed they might look rather good when placed in front of the two legs already drawn on the pony. You are doing fabulous! In my opinion, the best sign of artistic ability is improvement. You are doing so well, please keep it up!
Don't forget to add in the legs from the other side of the body and some body-shadowing to show depth on the character.
@Dilly star Thanks, I don't use paint, though i do use something similar, only with alpha values, but Ill remember that technique in the future. I've added the other legs, too! Thanks for pointing it out, it did look slightly strange... @Nuke Mayhem Body shadowing? A pretty nice idea, but Im a little unsure about how to do it... I'll have a look for some sort of tutorial, and see what i can do! Thanks
