You Can't Change Fate (For Parsons)

Knight was in the Canterlot Castle Throne Room, chained to the floor. Sitting on her throne was Princess Twilight Sparkle. "For speaking up against the government, you are to be put to death!" Twilight said in a booming voice. Suddenly purple sparks came out of her. The lighting changed to a purple hue. A ball of light appeared at the alicorn's horn, and it was blasted in Knight's direction. Suddenly, everything stopped-but Knight. A portal opened up in front of him, and a blue stallion wearing a mask covering his eyes walked out.

 

The Pegasus nodded, and he unsheathed an extremely intricate looking blade. In a flash, the shackles were cut like butter. "It is not me who is important. It is my message. This is not the prescribed future." He said, sheathing his blade.

 

"Somewhere in the past, something happened that threw off the course of history. If this timeline continues with being repaired... Ponykind will end. Along with everyone else. The Griffons, Dragons, Changelings, everyone dies." He said, walking to off towards a stained glass window.

 

"Well, you have a certain skill set that we need. Now, follow me." He said, unsheathing his blade once again, holding it aloft. "Fell Hope! Give me the power to traverse time!" Suddenly, his blade glowed blue. He slashed down, and a blue streak followed, and left behind in the air. It expanded, and opened into a vortex much like the one he entered the room in. "After you. He said, walking aside from the vortex.

 

The other stallion walked in with him, and the portal closed, causing the flow of time to start again in the castle. On the other end of the portal, there were several ponies waiting. A Purple, bearded unicorn in wizard garbs spoke up. "Welcome back, Sand Flow. Was your journey successful?" "It was, Sir Starswirl." So, the secret of the masked pony's name was gone.
Then a yellow earth pony spoke up. "Who's this you brought back?" She inquired.

 

"Well then. It's not uncommon to see a relative of Starswirl's in the Guardians... Anyway, to answer your question Spark Storm, he's Knight Fall, from the timeline when Princess Twilight Sparkle goes mad with power. I brought him back right before he was to be executed." Sand Flow said. "Could you let go of me now... you're choking me...please?" Star Swirl said in a raspy voice. Spark Storm spoke up. "Haha! I haven't seen anyone so enthusiastic to meet a relative!"

 

"Well then, welcome to the Guardians of Time Baracks, circa 1000 AD. Here we conduct all sorts of operations to make sure history follows it's correct course. You've met Starswirl and Spark Storm here, but we have other members we'll meet in a different time period. Now then, before we go about fixing your future, you look light on weapons, care to take a gander at the armory?" Sand Flow said, pulling some keys out of his bag.

 

"Then follow me." Sand said, walking to a door covered in crystal.

 

Sand put his key into the middle of the door, and watched as the door vanished, and reappeared behind Knight and Sand as they walked in. The Armory was amazing. It had weapons from the Past, Present, AND Future. Everything from simple clubs, to advanced projectile weaponry. "Armor is in Row 5, feel free to take some weapons as well if you'd like." Sand said.

 

"Oh? This? It's a pistol, your timeline doesn't have them yet, allow me to demonstrate how it works." Sand said, taking a clip of blank rounds off a nearby rack and loading it into the gun. He pulled the trigger, and a flash of brilliant yellow-white light came out the muzzle, accompanied with a large bang. "I loaded that with blank rounds, which are like little strips of paper in the shape of the ammunition they fire. If I loaded it with the real deal, the bullet would ricochet around this room and potentially hit one of us." Sand said before handing the gun back to Knight. "Still want it?"
