Hey there everypony. I was just a little curious. What Career do you have? And if you don't have a career, what career do you want to have? I am not old enough to be employed yet. I was thinking of becoming a pilot. But not an Airline pilot, more of a rescue medic. I will go into volunteer service for an ambulance company and learn basic first aid. Then I will go get a helicopter licence and study medicine further. After that I will work for an ambulance company and fly the chopper...of I will work as a rescue medic, the kind that rescue hikers and bikers from the wilderness. I chose this career path becase I like to be active. I like the outdoors and I am very adventurous. Well that's my story. Tell me yours
Well, I currently work a dodgy Thai restaurant (they do make awesome food though) earning $10.50/hr, I'm 18 almost 19 and I'm earning $10.50. Which is actually illegal since it's lower than minimum wage for the industry but we get paid cash in hand thus the dodgy part. Definitely not what you would call a career but jobs are hard to come by and I've got to make money somehow :/ As for the career I want, well to be perfectly honest, I don't really know what career I want. I love being creative with art and design but that's about as far as my knowledge of what I want to do goes, I'm hoping I'll find out over the next couple of years or at least have somewhat of a better idea.
My "career" right now is wal-mart It gets me money and that what I need. What I would like to do is be a Professional artist, that or at least get some extra money out of it.
I also plan of becoming a pilot sometime in the future, and not an airline pilot as well, i plan to be a pilot for the Air Force. I only recently came to this conclusion but sp far I've already taken the steps on order to achieve my goal. I'm currently taking additional science classes as a way to work my way into AP Physics, which will be useful later in college for things like Aerodynamics and Aeronautics. I've also been a part of my school's JROTC for 3 years and next year I'll be enrolled in their private pilot course which enables me to an understanding of aircrafts, multiple times to go up in the air and test what I've learned, and a shot at the FA pilot exam. After highschool I plan to enroll myself in UMASS Amherst which has an excellent ROTC program and Aeronautics courses. By taking the ROTC I'll be having my college paid for by the government in exchange for 4 years of service after school. I wanted to enlist anyway so it's essentially no strings attached for me. Upon enlisting, I'll be instantly given the rank of 2nd LT for having 4 years of JROTC and at least 4 years of ROTC under my belt. With all these things considered I also strive to keep myself in shape and therefore am an excellent candidate to become a military pilot.
I work as a tobacconist and part-time apprentice farmer at an organic farm. I'm not certain what I want to do in the future, but I would definitely like to own my own business.
Right now I'm interning for human services for a few weeks (and I'm 13 whuuut?) but I really wanna be a pro skater.
i'm currently at college for computing engineering and programing, but I think I'd be happiest if I had career at computer animation, namely cartoons. Not really artistic part, but more animation/programing part. Although, more likely I'll have career in hardware developing and low level programing (assembler, processor architecture and programing and such)
Fulltime GCSE student at the minute (naturally). Hoping to leave this country and teach English to speakers of other languages (aka. a TEFL).
I'm currently in my last year of school. My main ambition is to work as a Game Designer. So far, I'm on track for doing so.
Very soon I will be unemployed, but I currently work as a care assistant at Sherrington house near my area. It's illegal for me to care for the elderly as I'm not quite 18, so they put me in the Kitchen most of the time. I clean after 40+ residents every shift and take a tea trolley around the entire home, clean and scrub the kitchen, pick up stray plates/cutlery/mugs etc and at the same time interact with the residents. I earn £6.25 an hour and 7.25 on weekends. After college is completed, I'm going to go into full time work for a year, focus on my artwork and then hopefully apply to university so that I can study for an english degree and become a teacher~
Same for me bro. Are....Are you me? We both work at Wal-Mart and had our friends make our PCs. Anyway, I want to be a vocalist for a progressive rock/metal band. I need voice coaching to do it though.... If that's a bust, I wanna be an astrophysicist. All the knowledge of the universe and how it works...
Me... Well I am currently on My GCSE higher levels but I would like to be a software technisian. Then I can spend more time on the computer. (I know I spell wrong. I am bad at spelling )
I will get out of this hellhole with my grades, and when I do, I'm going to conquer the world! or at least the place where I work It's looking good for me, I can go on to continue doing computing and animation etc, whilst at the same time working on my History, English and Psychology skills with the options I chose. I could pretty much go into a whole range of professions! On top of that, I can play the guitar, so I guess I could always form a band with my drummer friend lol. As for now though, I'm probably thinking of either being a Computer Graphics Designer, or a Psychologist.
I honestly don't know what I want to do. I'm 22, unemployed, and really have no direction lol. However, from the 3 jobs I've had (grocery store courtesy clerk, produce at Walmart, and then as a janitor in Yosemite National Park), I've come to realize that I love making people's day a little better through my work. So I'm thinking about going into HR or something. I love to smile at people and do my best to make them happy, so being able to get the workers in that will promote that feeling seems like a good route. But I've also shot around on what I want to do. I used to want to be a Psychologist, then a social worker, then a nurse, and now this. So I honestly don't know =( I'm jealous of my boyfriend. He knows what he wants to do and he's on the way to do it. He'll graduate this fall with a degree in Game Design. =)
The next week or so really are crucial to me as to what I will go on to do after College. I applied for another apprenticeship in design and animation at a company near me who have worked pretty much with everyone (lawl) so if I get that I have a guaranteed job at the end. However, if I don't, I shall go to University and study Games Design and then hopefully get a place somewhere good.
Current Job...I'm working in a indoor flea market called Gibraltar Trade Center. It's a wonder place with some of the nicest people can work with, but my boss...Well she isn't the sharp tool out there and the pay is decent but could you give a little more? My Future Career? Well it's no big surprise to this forum on what i'm shooting for and that to become a Animtor/Cartoon Artist. I'm latterly busting my flank in order to get what i want and as i progress, I learn something new and get a little better as i go on. 2D animation is what i'm looking but maybe i'l move on to 3D animation but who knows.
