So, we all know at some point FiM is going to end. It's inevitable. The question I want to ask is what will you do after FiM has it's series finale?
How will you feel after watching it?

    What will I do?
Well, my interest in Pokemon will probably get brought back from the sidelines. FiM has been my current obsession so my Pokemon interest has sort of been pushed aside temporarily. Don't worry, I still like it, I guess I'm just taking a break from it, is all.

How will I feel after watching the series finale?
I guess that will be a bridge I'll cross when I come to it, but, honestly, I might feel the sort of the same way I felt after watching the first season finale: I was pretty depressed for most of that night and the following day. The reason for this is because I liked these ponies so much that they felt like they were actual friends I could turn to when I had a problem. And leaving them and not seeing them again for (at the time) 5 months really, really hurt at the time. I actually shed a few manly tears trying to fall asleep that night while thinking "I'm really going to miss them!"

Anyway, keeping all that in mind, with that being how I felt after the first season finale, imagine how I (and definitely others) might possibly feel after the series finale! It is going to hurt SO much seeing these ponies we've loved for some time leave us (almost) permanently!

Sorry for the wall of text, but part of that was something I just wanted to get off my chest.

    Discuss.

    Oh dear, I don't know..
I'll still stick with the fandom, of course~~ I might take to new obsessions but these ponies are with me forever! ^-^

There is that cross-continent walk, from Alaska that Argentina that my BF wants to take me on...~ that's something to look forward to, post-FIM!

It would be a sad day indeed and we will need many of us to remain hardcore fans for Hasbro to green light more and more seasons. I will always remember how happy I felt when I first found out I liked the show and the community that welcomed me with so much love. I was honestly quite negative about other people until I realised through this show that many of them share my views on morality and principles, it just had to become cool to be a nice person for the nice people to come out.

Anyway after MLP:FiM, I'm sure there will be a lifetime worth of fanfics to read. After that I guess I may have rekindled my interest in reading fanfiction in general.

I have this show to dearly thank for the amount of creative inspiration it has given me. What should I do my school assignment about, some boring doco about smoking addiction or Ponies! What TV show should I research for my assignment? MLP:FiM. I am basically ponifing all my school work and it is making it so much more fun.

I have also made more music videos in the shortest amount of time ever since I started making them and this has done wonders for developing my video editing skill. What makes this even greater is that Video Editing is my goal career. Wow My Little Pony is helping me build my resume, I never would have thought I would ever say that.

what will I do once this draws to a close? Im not sure. I mean I will go on but I would always love this show... it means alot to me and the fans that come with it. I would say I never want it to end but all good things must or they get tampered with and turn into crap like american idol or a reality tv show.
I do love this very much though so I will always be lookin for my ponys any chance I get

it would be a sad day indeed, but im thinking it probly wont be too bad since this fandom is so strong people might start making their own flash animations about the show and keep up the fandom :D

Me? I'll just hang around the community for a bit, then as more people start to leave, maybe I'll leave to go back to my previous life of watching mind-destruction on Youtube and making a ton of conlang sketches. Hopefully I'll be able to keep some contacts. That is, if I'm respected enough.

    There's life after FiM? :p

I came into the fandom too late to experience the feeling of season 1's ending, but when I reached the end of watching season 1, I was a little sad. So, I'm sure I'll be disappointed when that day finally comes when no more G4 episodes will be made. Depending on how active I am in the community, I'm sure I'll be saddened as the community will start to dwindle. There will undoubtedly be more hardcore fans that'll stick around for a long time after it ends. Will I be one of them? I don't know. There are just too many variables to consider. So, at this time, I'd just rather not think about it and enjoy what we have now. Of course, I'll keep the thought in the back of my mind that it won't last forever, but I'll enjoy it while it's here.

I think it's a little early in the game to think about what we're going to do when it's all over - hopefully it'll go at least five seasons, and maybe more. When the *gulp!* end does get here, I'll crawl under a rock, eat worms, and try to think about it then, but until then, I'll just watch the episodes over, every once in a while, and listen to the music. Let's return to this thread when Hasbro says, "No more."

Pretty difficult to say. I'm active on another forum as well (as a few others here will know) and the main reason I'm active there nowadays is because I've known a few of the users for long enough that I see them as friends (and that includes people that came to this forum), while the main purpose of that site was to mod a game I stopped playing (ok, I played it perhaps about 3 times over the last few months). It will most likely depend on what others decide to do.

I'm not entirely sure what to say without going all funeral speech on you all, but I think with the gift that this show has given us, the gift of togetherness and friendship, we are united by a powerful, possibly even magical bond. I for one, hope that that bond still stays strong after the show ends. So even if the show does end, we'll still (hopefully) have each other!

Who knows, maybe if the show does end, it might influence more people to get creative. Re-live the magic of the series through roleplay, creative writing, fan art, comic strips etc. Even if Hasbro deny us of new episodes, we can make new ones using our own imagination, and we can twist them so that the "episodes" are enjoyed by every fan.

But if none of that happens, I for one, know that MLP: FiM will always be in my heart, and those magical ponies will stay with me in spirit and in heart. My love for the programme is far too strong to be able to just "forget" about it.

Despite this, if I heard it was cancelled, I would probably cry and be depressed for quite some time. Heck, I even cried when I found out that Lauren Faust has stopped working on FiM and has gone from Executive Producer to Consulting Producer. So yeah, there will be tears, but the love and friendship and spirits will remain strong, if not stronger. :p

Every show I watch and start loving gets canned. I'm used to it honestly. I'm a big sci-fi fan so I guess it comes with the territory I guess. I'll miss it but so long as the give closure, I can deal with it.

;.; the END of My Little Pony Friendship is Magic? what is this end you speak of and why does it give me emotions of sadness?

now for a more serious answer...When this ends, I'll probably just go on with regular life like I did before and am doing now, I will definitely watch re-runs often because season one is still one of the things I watch most but eventually I will move on, as I've learned after the end of all good things (relationships, vacations, the lives of family or pets), life goes on and it doesn't slow down just because you're hurt or sad. I will cope with the end of MLP FiM because life doesn't stop for a TV show

I will legitimately be extremely depressed. I've faced something like this once before.

My first legitimate obsession was with an webseries that has become very popular. Many of you may know it. It was Red vs. Blue. I loved it ALMOST as much as I love ponies. After the fifth season, when it seemed like it ended, I didn't know what to do with myself. I acted very much similar to the story I'm going to post at the end of this post. I was depressed actually for months. It wasn't until I learned that the series was continuing that I broke out of the depression (At least that depression. I was still severely depressed for many other reasons). This is because I was so invested in the series.

Now, My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is legitimately the only thing in this world that I have obsessed about MORE than RvB. And the only thing that brought me out of the RvB depression when it ended was the knowledge that it wasn't done. When this series ends, I have no idea what I'm going to do emotionally.

However, I will always try to stay a part of the fanbase. I think it will exist long after the series ends. And I will always remember what this show and the people I have met have done for me.

Now, all that said, here's a story related to the topic:
