Ugh, it looks confusing to me, and I don't really see any positive changes. The videos being so large on the channels makes it look unorganized compared to what is there now, and the video page itself looks unfinished, which maybe it is. Unless they're going to majorly improve something, I don't see the need to completely redesign their layout. Why not tweak the one that they have now, instead of reinventing the wheel, so to speak?
Although I love new layouts and changes and whatnot, I think they seem unnecessary here. The graphics look better, but the way the layout would take time getting used to. Favorite thing would be those nice gradients. Probably least favorite change is what they did to the related videos.
I kinda like the new video pages, the only thing I find wrong with them is the sheer size of the suggested videos thumbnails, those could be shaved back down a bit. The actual channels though... BARF! The channel chat should be front and center just like the video chat, or at least have the option to be. The default Featured Channels are almost as big as the video on the page! I don't need two spots to list featured channels... I do like the look of the new playlists, but I feel they need to stay on the side of the screen they've been on, not sit where the chat should go... I SHOULDN'T HAVE TO CLICK THREE PAGES IN TO GET TO THE CHANNEL CHAT!
I dunno, it doesn't look too bad I guess. Though it feels kind awkward and kinda wonky to me. But maybe that's just cause I'm so used to the old layout. Though I like the name "Cosmic Panda". X3 But I think that panda stole Trixie's wand. Bad panda, bad!
