I'm sure most people are quite aware or in their own lives to notice. YouTube has decided that it'll 'remove' dislikes to some degree. They don't work like they use to. They are hiding dislikes now, making it look like you are only disliking it. The reason? Dislike mobs disliking all their sponsored product based ad and news media content that no one wants to see. I wish I was kidding. That's their excuse for now effectively trying to make you look like the bad guy for disliking a video.
Bah, that's going to make going through "how to fix this" type videos more of a pain in the butt. You could always tell the unhelpful ones by the dislikes they had. You wouldn't need to watch the ones with the dislikes. Now it'll be a crap shoot if you get good info or not. Lame.
That's just the thing, CRB. YouTube is hoping that no one will care and go about their lives. Like with every other crappy update they ever have done. Personally. Hiding the dislike feature out of sheer childish contempt for thier users, is crossing a line.
Hey, if y'all want to get worked up over something like this, it's not my problem. I'm not going to waste my time and energy complaining about stuff I can't change or otherwise do anything about. That's the sort of stuff that requires a more complex mind than anything I possess. And honestly, I think the whole "YouTube hates its users" thing is grossly inaccurate anyway, but I'd just as soon leave my five cents here and be done with it. I'm not anxious to raise it to a half-dollar.
I'd look it up, but I'm lazy. I did read that someone already made a browser add on to reenable the dislike counts.
